A geographically diverse state, Idaho has something to offer most vacationers. Up North there are an amazing set of activities to tickle your fancy. Forest full of nature’s finest and Lakes that appear as in a fairy tale. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or an exhaustive hike, mountain biking or fishing, kayaking or water skiing you can do it all here. There are numerous golf courses and of course, in the snow season, there are all sorts of snow sports to be had! Coeur d’Alene may be a place to centre your Idaho holiday or vacation rental as it has something for all the family with a plethora of theme and water parks. Head a little south and pick up the history of the region by walking the trail of the intrepid explorers, Lewis and Clarke, at Kooskia. Visit Cottonwood, Lewiston and Moscow with all that they have to offer. Go boating or white water rafting in one of the canyons or take a leisurely hike. Enjoy Camas Prairie Winery or Dworshak State Park – there really is so much to do and see.

Head further south again and visit the Ernest Hemmingway Memorial in Sun Valley (Edgar Rice Burroughs also spent time in Idaho) or visit the Mackay Rodeo. Hangout fishing on one of the many lakes, play golf, go camping or follow some more of Lewis and Clarke’s Trail.

Keep going and visit Bear Lake State Park and relax at Bear Lake Hot Springs or visit the Lava Hot Springs Area. See Snake  River and visit American Falls Reservoir – at over 55,000 acres this is no small puddle!

Southwestern Idaho is the home to the states capital, Boise. Just the name Boise, Idaho is enough to incite interest. This area again offers a splendid cross-section of fantastic terrain from mountains to deserts and valleys and forests. There are water sports and hikes and fishing of all sorts – and don’t forget to enjoy Boise itself. What a great choice for holiday or vacation rentals.
