Much of the history of Montana dates back to its principal products of oil, coal, zinc, silver, lead and copper. The centre of Butte once supplied 50% of the US copper.
Montana was the home to the major Indian wars (1867-1877) including the famous battle of Little Big Horn, also known as Custers last stand where the Cheyenne and Sioux fought.
Much of the plains of Montana are covered by rich grains including Wheat, barley oats sugar canes. Montana has also plenty of cattle and sheep. The tourist attractions of Montana include skiing, great fishing, and hunting. The continental divide has 60 glaciers and over 200 lakes with streams offering great trout fishing. While you are here visit the battlefield monument of Little Big Horn.
Another place to visit is the Yellowstone national park. This is mainly on the plateau of the Rocky Mountains. The plateau is mainly formed from once molten lava. There has been much volcanic activity here which is evident by the 10 000 hot springs and 200 geysers. Eagle peak is the highest point where you will find lava formations and black glass. Here at Yellowstone you will find a abundance of nature and a vast showing of plant life. Some of the animals include bears, mountain sheep, elk, bison and moose. This is a nature lover’s paradise, and an obvious spot to hunt for holiday or vacation rentals.
