Indiana is a Great Lake State and as such has a plethora of offerings in water fun. Indianapolis is right in the middle in central Indiana. It is a modern metropolis with plenty to do for all the family on their vacation. It is home to the Indianapolis Colts for those sporting fans amongst you. There is the Post Road Recreation Center which offers indoor carting or visit the Fort Harrison State Park or White River State Park. Fancy a trip to a zoo then also take in the White River Gardens at Indianapolis Zoo. Western Indiana has its fair share of attractions too such as the Indiana Beach Amusement Resort in Monticello. Described as Indiana’s largest amusement resort there are many exciting activities for all the family here including riding and camping. In Eastern Indiana go to Berne and visit Amishville USA and camp or discover a different way of life. Visit the Fort Wayne Museum of Art or the Indiana Basketball of fame in New Castle, or the Indiana Football Hall of Fame in Richmond. There is plenty of golf to be had and also many opportunities for water sports. Try out Chain O’Lakes State Park in Albion where there are eight interconnecting lakes for your fun or Summit Lake Park where you can also indulge your finest fishing fantasies.



South Central and South Indiana also offer many splendid things to do from golf and hiking, or snow sports or visit one of the many wineries in the area with many fantastic state parks and opportunities for both outdoor and indoor activities. Do not forget to visit the 200,000 acre Hoosier National Forest – did you know that resident of Indiana are called Hoosiers? The State’s name means “Land of the Indians” and Southern Indiana is home to Angel Mounds State Historic Site.
