Are you looking for a little beach community with loads of charm as well as the convenience of major attractions just minutes away? Welcome to the historic town of Old Town Seal Beach, one of the last quaint beach towns left in Southern California. Come see why the surfers, kite and windsurfers prefer our unspoiled beach away from the crowds. Old Town is approximately 4 blocks deep (from the beach inland) and 17 blocks wide (ocean front). Seal Beach is a very safe town with its own Police, Fire Departments and City Hall. Enjoy a leisurely stroll down the Seal Beach Pier, the second longest wooden pier in California. Walk down historic Main Street and you'll find casual eateries, award winning fine dining restaurants, the locals' favorite Irish Pubs, ice cream parlors and coffee houses, movie theatre, surf shops, bikini stores, bait and tackle, boutiques, antiques, kite store, shell shop, day spas, hair and nail salons, and many other specialty stores including a tropical shop with flowers imported straight from Hawaii! On the weekends, you can get the freshest locally grown fruits, veggies and flowers at the FARMERS MARKET at the Alamitos Bay Marina. Conveniently located at the top of Main Street is a new full service Pavilions Grocery Store and a CVS Drug Store.
Above and beyond our summer "LIVE CONCERTS ON MAIN", you'll enjoy our "telescope friends" that often visit the pier to view PLANETS for free through their monster high speed telescopes! Come visit during spring and summer (March through August) to see our famous GRUNION RUN. It's an amazing thrill to fish these by hand!
At the Marina rent an electric DUFFY BOAT to cruise the charming CANALS of NAPLES, board the REGGAE PARTY BOAT for an evening cruise with LIVE MUSIC, catch the WATER TAXI to the QUEEN MARY, AQUARIUM of the PACIFIC of Long Beach or take a romantic ride in a GONDOLA and be serenaded under one of the bridges in NAPLES.
