The second largest country in Eastern Europe, Ukraine is a great place to find a short term rental apartment. Find an apartment in a Ukrainian city and you're never short of things to do. The capital of Kiev is the perfect place to see the mixture of the old and the new together in Ukraine. It's impressive skyscrapers such as the Parus Business Centre tower over ancient sites such as the Kiev Pechersk Lavra monastery and the St. Michael's Golden-Domed Cathedral, which dates back to the middle ages. There's also other beautiful buildings such as Saint Sophia's Cathedral, which dates back to 1037, and the National Opera House of Ukraine which still puts on several performances today. There's also more modern attractions such as go-cart tracks, paintball venues, billiard halls and bowling alleys; and the large number of shops and supermarkets make Kiev perfect for a self-catering holiday in Ukraine. There's also several museums to see, including Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine, World War II Museum and National Art Museum of Ukraine.

Outside of Kiev, Ukraine still offers a wide range of things to do and see. The so called 'Seven Wonders of Ukraine' features places such as the ruins of the ancient Greek city of Chersonesos Taurica on the coast of the Black Sea in Sevastopol, and the 14th centry Khotyn Fortress by the Dniester River in Khotyn. Also in that area is the beautiful Dniester Canyon, which features not only water activities in the Dniester River, but is also a very popular spot for skydiving.

Another city that's worth a visit is the port city of Nikolaev. Filled with many beautiful buildings, and boasting the 100 years old Nikolaev Zoo, a short term rental apartment in Nikolaev is a great way to see some of the other sights of Ukraine.
