Close to Borwick where we have many great short term rental cabins, many of which look over a lake of the area. Also close by is Brampton where we have many self catering apartments which most mainly look over some great views of the mountains and hills which hold such great scenery. It's known the best time to visit is around Autumn, it's not clear exactly why but a very common for tourist to visit at this time of year it could be because the leaves start to fall which adds a golden touch to the scenery.

Most of the area is part of the Lake District National Park, which is the single biggest park in the UK and is in the top five biggest national parks in Europe. The area is known to receive as many as 30 time the population in UK tourist alone every year not including others from around the world, so it might be an idea to keep in mind that there is a high possibility it might seem a bit crowded, however don't let this put you off as it always seems to be nice a quite there are however there is still loads to do including horse riding, wind surfing, sailing, canoeing, water skiing, fishing, mountain hiking, whether it would be for those who want a challenge and go for the very steep mountains or those who just want a peaceful stroll up a much smaller mountain which wont be as much of a challenge.
