Punta Majeres up in the north of Lanzarote in the Haria district is literally the ultimate perfect family get away. You actually get away from everything and everyone, which makes this beautiful village so attractive for families as there will be hardly any tourist there to distract you and not make your holiday so peaceful.

Completely hidden off the beaten track by the old lava flows is Monte Corona, is the largest volcano on the island.

Most of the properties are on the beach so you wont have far to walk except outside the door. Although if you did want to get a bit of action then there are a few places close by which are a bit more livelier if you wanted to do some extra activities such as golf and some other water sports - but that doesn't mean to say you cant do any here.

Although the beach is medium sized - not big but not small - it's the perfect size for this village, with lots of fishing going on and a fair bit of scuba diving and sailing.

This village is very much the Canarian lifestyle: small, quiet, very welcoming for families and couples. There is also a local market 10 minutes walk away where you will find many local foods which is perfect if you wanted to stay in and relax in you private self catering beach house.
