Santa Ponsa is one of the better resorts in Mallorca, with a marina, country club, three top golf courses, excellent restaurants, many lively bars and clubs and a wide, pine-fringed sandy beach. Less than 15 minutes drive from the historic capital, Palma and 20 - 25 mins from the airport, it’s ideally placed to explore this beautiful island.
The wide, gently-sloping beach gets fairly busy in the summer so is ideal for families with children. Public transport is (just) adequate but really you need a car to explore the enormous variety of scenery, pretty small villages, mountains, markets and of course many beautiful beaches.
One end of the main beach leads to the package-holiday hotels and entertainment quarter which can be a tad noisy, whilst the other end with the marina is more residential and quieter.
