The second largest town of the Liberec Region after Liberec itself, Jablonec Nad Nisouis a great centre of sport, with 13 gyms, 16 playgrounds, with a swimming pool, an ice hockey arena and three football and athletic stadiums, and the town is currently represented by FK Baumit Jablonec, in the Czech first division. Jablonec is also a great place to find culture, with theaters, art galleries and many museums.

The main museum is devoted to what was Jablonec's main industry: the making of glass and jewelry. During the 19th century the town became wealthy due to the high demand for it's glass and jewelry, it become the world center for the industry. It was not until the Second World War that the industry collapsed, but Jablonec still sports remnants of the industry, which you can discover with a short term rental there.

There's also a tramway line direct to the capital of the area, Liberec, where you can see the beautiful scenery and architecture of the city, including the modern Ještěd Tower on top of the Ještěd mountain, and visit the zoo and botanical gardens.
