Guests that leave your vacation house smiling is the best thing to see! They will for sure take the opportunity to take photos, email postcards, and most probably enthusiastic about their vacation and the result, their friends, relatives, family, colleagues might book on your vacation house. The happiness they enjoyed in your place will depend much on the facilities, location and the place itself. But bear in mind that there will be few things to consider that their booking is well appreciated and hope that they will advertise your property by word of mouth no better advertising than a recommendation.
As much as possible be punctual in answering all email inquiries, respond to any problems, and be sure to make your property clean and organized and these will be your stand in repeat bookings.
In addition, going the extra mile in serving the guests will be useful in sealing the booking to your property.
Here are some lists that we made:
- Provide a welcome pack. - Giving your guests a welcome pack when they arrive is a simple and effective way to create a lasting impression. Providing few items and some basic supplies will be appreciated by guests. If you want to include some valuable items you may do so but be sure to include it in the overall cost. Some owners charge an additional fee for a welcome pack. If you do this be sure to specify what the pack includes to avoid arguments with visitors. We suggest that a free welcome pack is a winning option as it is unexpected and makes for a great start to any holiday.
- Be the perfect host. Leave plenty of useful advice on having a great holiday at your property, including a list of ideas and information about the local area. Save some discount coupons for local attractions or special tips on the best restaurants make sure these are left where your visitors can find them.
- Call them from time to time. If there is a phone at the property call at least once to check your guests have arrived safely and are enjoying their stay. Be sure that they have contact details for you or your local representative in case of any problems. If someone gets in touch to mention a problem at your property deal with it as promptly as possible and let them know what is happening.
- Leave a guestbook - this is a must for this will be the source of information for the email, inquiries. This also serves as the questionnaire for guests when they get back and what are the things that they like and did not like about the property. By using these comments this will help you improve on little things that will affect your property. Deal with the problems; try to give solutions as much as possible for this might lead to another booking coming from the guests.
- Save the contact details of your guests - Leaving business cards or postcards of your holiday home in the property will give people something to refer to when they search for accommodation for their next holiday. Save email addresses of previous guests and try to make a mailing list and send promos and packages for them.
