Playa Blanca is most famously known for the only nudist beach in Lanzarote and also the fact it's the place where the QE2 most likes to visit. Although the marina is quite small (but is, however, being enlarged) the QE2 still manages to fit in when it visits - which is quite often.
Although the area is famous for the nudist beaches which are in the area there are many things to get on with, such as golf, biking and mountain walking to name a few.
If you wanted to get involved with some more water sports and activities then you can always try a privately owned villa in La Asomada, or go to Famara where we have some great self catering villas. Both areas have many water sports/activities on offer including sailing, water skiing, kite surfing, windsurfing, deep sea fishing, kayaking and there are many ferrys which can take you over to some of the near by islands which are perfect for a nice days peace, quiet and relaxation.
Playa Blanca is also very well known for the Montana Roja which translates into red volcano which takes only half an hour to walk up and is well worth it because of the views of the island you see when you reach the top.
The Promenade (the light house) is also a well worth visit with spectacular views of the beach and ocean.
There are also many wild life parks in the area so if you wanted a bit of wildness added in your journey including lions, tigers, giraffes, monkeys (which are very protective of their territory), Kuala bears, and many different types of exotic deep sea fishes.
