About Oz en Oisans:

Oz en Oisans is one of the five resorts in the Massif des Grandes Rousses. The scenery is truly spectacular with fantastic vistas all round from glaciers and forests, to villages nestling in the valleys below.

The village is located in the south of the Alps offering a gateway to a huge ski resort that offers great facilities for children and hard core skiers alike. Easily accessible, it is just 1.5 hours from Grenoble airport and less than 2 hours from Lyon, Geneva and Chambery.

The resort can be found within close proximity to the delightful town of Bourg D’Oisans but still boasts two lifts carrying guests straight up to Alpe D’Huez with hundreds of kilometres of blue, green and red runs to suit all abilities. It’s also home to one of the longest black descents in Europe to test those skiers looking for something more of a challenge. It is also possible to ski to Vaujany from Oz en Oisans.

There are two lifts in the village (including a 12 person bubble) to take you up to the centre of the ski area at an altitude of 2000 metres.

Oz en Oisans is truly one of the best ski destinations in the Alps for family holidays. The resort is pedestrianised and offers a range of cafes, restaurants and bars as well as a well stocked supermarket. The crèche, ski garden, nursery slope and ski school are all within less than 10 minutes walking distance from all of the accommodation in the resort. For those children that are old enough to ski, the extensive nursery slopes of Oz en Oisans can provide them with an excellent introduction to this great fun activity. The nursery slope with the recently installed 'magic carpet' is in front of the Poutran lift and the ESF ski school office and crèche are just 50 metres away. Other activities include ice skating and indoor swimming and the amazing ice sculptures at the top of the Poutran lift which are well worth a visit and easily accessible for walkers and skiers alike.

During the summer you can take advantage of 680km of signposted footpaths that traverse the beautiful scenery of the Ecrins National Park or if you fancy something different you can participate in the famous Mega Avalanche in May which sees hundreds of mountain bike enthusiasts cycle from the snow capped peaks all the way down to the nearby village of Allemont.
