The peaks of the Pyrenees reach up to around three thousand metres and during the winter months are a magnet for skiers of all different levels of experience. There are many resorts offering fine skiing and snowboarding opportunities for all. When the snow has gone, during the summer months there is beautiful scenery with fantastic vistas and many invigorating hiking trails and plenty of excitement for mountain bikers!
Langeudoc – Roussillon has something all year round for the visitor to enjoy their holiday or vacation rental though. It is a region that has made a name for its table wines and vineyards can be seen stretching as far as the eye can see, from the Rhone to the foothills of the Pyrenees. As with most wine growing regions in France there are plenty of tours and activities centred around the wine industry.
