It is located in the Southwestern corner of France largely bordered by the Pyrenees, the Atlantic and Spain. In terms of cities this place reads like a Who’s Who of famous names including Bordeaux, Pau, Bayonne, Biarritz and Bergerac!
There is so much to do here on your holiday or vacation rental so it is hard to know where to start. It has a huge coastline with the Atlantic and mile upon mile of beautiful coastline. It is an ideal place to come and laze away long summer days but there is so much more to do as well.

Obviously with a long coastline fish will be on the menu most of the time and with France being such a romantic place to live then one must really try the local oysters, which are fabled to have aphrodisiac properties. But this region is not simply about eating and drinking and lazing by or playing in the sea. There is so much about Aquitaine that is simply wondrous. It has such a varied landscape too with the Pyrenees providing a breath-taking backdrop and with huge pine forests. For nature lovers and birders there are plenty of chances to relax and enjoy what’s on offer. If you like hiking or biking or simply just getting lost in miles and miles of countryside there will be something for you. There are lakes and rivers and opportunities to enjoy everything from hang gliding to white water rafting.
