Vacation Rental Description
The River Guest House, one of several historic log cabins at the Woods Landing Resort, is nestled in the cottonwoods right on the bank of the Big Laramie River. This cozy cabin offers three bedrooms, one bath, full kitchen with cooking utensils and dishes, laundry room, and a large mudroom. The cabin is heated with a forced air furnace along with a woodstove. The Big Laramie River is right out the back door and Jelm Mountain is across the road. Sit out on the front porch and watch the mule deer wander by, along with an occasional moose, elk, bobcat, coyote, or black bear. Mountain biking and hiking trails start on our property and head west up the hill to join up with miles of trails and roads in the Medicine Bow National Forest.
The Woods Landing Resort offers a full service restaurant, bar & dancehall as well as a general store, post office, and cabins. The bar and dancehall is a regular meeting place for area ranchers and dudes who come from the entire Big Laramie River valley to enjoy our Saturday night dances. The café serves up the best burgers, shakes, and pie in the Valley. Besides the River Guest House other lodging at the Woods Landing Resort includes a new luxury log cabin duplex, 6 rustic log cabins, and 10 RV spaces. In all, we can sleep about 36 people in addition to RV spaces so we are a perfect venue for family reunions, weddings, and just plain fun.
