PRIVATE BEACH AND WATER TRAMPOLINE: Huvila Finlandia is a perfect location for a family vacation. Sitting on top of a hill it offers wonderful views of the lake. An acre of manicured lawns, private sandy beach, 2 piers (with lounge area) for relaxing and/or docking boats, a floating raft and A HUGE WATER TRAMPOLINE (great for all ages) for guests private use. Lounging on the pier, guests can enjoy the fun 'wake boarding show' that goes by. At the beach, a boat house with living room and extra bedroom/changing room, with stereos, refrigerator and comfortable lounge area for waterside relaxing. Beach side fire pit with built around seating, great for night time family get together with s'mores. Outdoor dining areas both by the beach as well as up on the deck with view all around. Great gourmet gas grill, lounge area and hammock on the deck. Night time star gazing at its best. Swings are hung from the big old maple and elm trees for kids enjoyment. Beautiful scenery. SCANDINAVIAN COTTAGE: Huvila Finlandia is a charming, Scandinavian style lake cottage, providing all the necessities for a relaxing getaway. There is a fireplace and a wood burning stove in the house, for cozy evenings. Kitchen is fully equipped for the most serious of a cook and ready for family dinner parties. The open plan living, kitchen and dining area offers a perfect place for the whole family to be together. There is plenty of table space for a large group. 3 tables seat up to 18 -20 people. Stereo, 3 TVs, dvd and VHS players, for entertainment. The design is clean, fresh and up lifting. Scandinavian cottage, blue, white and a pinch of yellow. Off white ceramic tile floors through out, for clean low allergy environment. Pretty china and glass cabinet full of wine glasses waiting for the vacation to start.....

JEFFERSON ISLAND ON POWERS LAKE: Huvila Finlandia lake house is situated in the middle of the Powers Lake, on Jefferson Island. Walking distance to few restaurants, others accessible by boat or car. On the lake the social scene is busy, there is the wonderful and popular 'rock bar' (a shallow area where boats anchor and people mingle between boats) in the middle of the lake - drinks, volley ball and even cook outs on pontoon boats. The 4th of July fireworks on this lake are impressive, the wild Powers Lake Yacht Club's Venetian Carnival is a must see (pontoon boats dressed up, parading around the lake competing for a winner), February ice-fishing derby and many other activities for kids and grown ups, incl sailing school, regattas, dinner parties, ladies tennis. Fun events nearby year around, few favourites: Country Thunder concert on a farm 1/4 mile away, Alpine Valley summer concerts, Lake Geneva events like Ice Sculpture Festival Feb 1-3. Nearest town is Twin Lakes, all necessities!

Powers Lake is located 1 hour between Chicago and Milwaukee, minutes from the legendary resort town of Lake Geneva and antiquing town of Richmond. 30 mins to Six Flags Great America Amusement Park and Gurnee Outlet Mall. There are many great golf courses and country clubs, public beaches, nature parks, festivals, lake cruises, boat rentals, shopping, restaurants, bars, night clubs, cinemas, petting zoos, horse races, , spas, country fairs, hot air ballooning, monster truck races, hunting clubs, etc, nearby. Also near are ski mountains Wilmot and Alpine Valley (summer concerts) and the famous Grand Geneva Resort, for summer and winter activities, including special a snowboarding mountain and an enormous indoor waterpark. There are beds spaces for 10 in the main house plus an additional queen size sofa bed in the living room. In the boathouse, there is a bedroom that has a bunk bed for 3 people and a queen size sofa bed in the living room. The boathouse does not have a bathroom, guests must use the main house bathrooms. The main house has a fun bedroom specially for kids with 2 twin bunk beds and a baby crib. It has a sitting/play area with TV, dvd and VHS player, books and toys. The other 3 bedrooms are comfortable doubles or queen, one with TV. All the bedrooms have ceiling fans. There are various other fans around the house. All the windows have screens. We recommend keeping all the windows open during summer time as there is a lovely breeze coming from the lake. But we do have central airconditioning for the hot and humid days. All together on the property there are bed spaces for 17 people plus baby crib. There is Wi-Fi internet service for guests convenience, so bring on the laptops!

Additional information about rental rates
A deposit of 50% is required at the time of booking to secure dates. The balance is to be paid 60 days prior to arrival. A damage deposit of $500 is required to be paid at the time of final payment. It will be refunded within a week after guest departure, if no damage is reported.

A minimum age limit for renters. No parties allowed without written agreement with the owner. Only guests registered in the booking permited to stay overnight.

Monthly rental June - October $12,000 per month
Long term rental to be discussed with owner
Guests are responsible for their food, toiletries, firewood and other personal expenses.
