Lodging and Accommodations 
 
The lodge is beautifully constructed of rough-hewn cedar. The 2-sided fireplace is a work of art, built from local fieldstones. The living room includes a 14 foot cathedral ceiling and windows overlooking the lake. Eat meals with your family around the pine table overlooking the lake. The table comfortably seats 10. Or, have your meal in the screened porch and listen to the loons call...our large deck overlooks the lake and provides a beautiful view of Spider Lake. 
 
You'll Find serenity in this Northwoods paradise, whether on the large deck or in the comfortable family room with it's huge fireplace, high windows and expansive lakefront view. 
 
The kitchen is fully equipped with utensils, cookware, oven, refrigerator, microwave and dishwasher. A washer and dryer are in the basement for your use. There are two full baths in the house. 
 
Wake up to the call of the Loon in the master bedroom with master bath and private deck, and watch the sun rise across the lake. 
 
Bedroom 2 has 2 double beds and is tucked into the corner of the woods. 
Bedroom 3 is the bunkroom - 6 hand made bunk beds fill this room. Kids love it!

Play in the clean, cool water from your 200 ft private sand beach. Fish off the pier, or head out on the lake to hunt for the abundant northern pike, walleye, muskie, bass and panfish. 
 
Spider Lake is a 350 acre lake with depths up to 60 feet. Go canoeing down the Turtle River, or take long walks through the cool forest and remember the sound of wind whispering through the trees. Relax in the evenings by sitting on the deck or in the screen porch overlooking the lake. 
 
The snow in Mercer is deep! Connected to the extensive Iron County snowmobile trail system (the house is near trail #17 and quick access to scenic trails 8 & 10), you can bring your sled for hours of fun, or rent one in town. Go skiing in Michigan (45 miles from Indianhead) or cross-country ski on the lake or in the woods. Ice fishing is fantastic on Spider Lake, and sledding down the hill out your back door is easy fun for the kids.
