Close proximity to Milwaukee and Madison make this an ideal base for exploring Southern Wisconsin. Also, Fall is a beautiful time of the year to see the thousands of stars!

Annual Lake events are 'Lakefest' which is the first Saturday in July and 'Venetian Nights' end of August. 
 
Southern Wisconsin events of note are Milwaukee's 'Summerfest' which runs from late June through early July, Oshkosh's EAA runs from July 23rd through July 29th, 2011 (hint - people come a few day's early to see the first planes come in).
