"La Conner On the Water" a guest cottage with WiFi, and TV and an incredibly beautiful water view from living room, kitchen and dining area is a nicely furnished small home in a small beach neighborhood of nice homes. Experienced kayakers can launch below the house. Other kayakers live in the neighborhood.
Cyclists love the central location and can ride to Anacortes, La Conner, North to Chuckanut Drive. Even bike to Mount Vernon Amtrak Station and take bikes on the train north to Bellingham along the water below Chuckanut Drive ... absolutely a marvelous ride to the Bellingham Train Station and then south on bikes back down on great backroads to the Valley and the Park and Ride Train Station. Makes for an awesome cycling day! Cool down at one or more of the great Local Brew Pubs in the area. All have fresh, delicious food. Logistics for cycling can be refined and you can request assistance with launch place and return to valley place.
As on the website: Children and Pets are considered individually. NON SMOKERS - no exceptions. This is a perfect place to spend an anniversary, to bring a senior parent, to use as a launch pad to head out and enjoy the great variety of things to see and do.
House has Gas Fireplace, plus excellent furnace. TV in living room, DVD/CD player in both bedrooms, lots of DVD's and CD's, Lots of Books, Music, a piano, and laundry facilities. Yard is beautiful with outdoor seating overlooking the Bay.
Summer outside dining, walks on the beach and the ever changing saltwater tides, moon setting over the water make this a romantic and relaxing place to enjoy for a week-end or a week --- or up to a month. It sits on beautiful Skagit Bay just 5 minutes west of the historical and delightful channel town of La Conner, WA with shops, book stores, kitchen stores, jewelry, clothing, vintage and antique stores, boating stores, a marina, excellent restaurants, and much more.
La Conner is surrounded by the rich and abundant farmland of the Skagit Valley area. Summer produce and flowers are in abundance. Fields of blueberries, corn, cucumbers, fresh and organic produce galore. This rich farmland is in close proximity to Vancouver British Columbia, Canada and Seattle, Wa. Easy access to Deception Pass State Park .. stunning views from high above the water and ocean beaches and gorgeous shorelines, as well as local hiking, and alpine hiking. Ferry boats to the San Juan Islands, for a day's outing, live theatre productions, Skagit Opera at McIntyre Hall with Seattle guest artists in lead rolls, Fine art at MONA - Museum of Northwest Art in La Conner, and well known artists, i.e. Joel Brock San Francisco School of Fine Art- who does portray the valley landscape as if his spirit was born in the incredible light, earth and color of the valley.
