Welcome to our Maui condo at lovely Papakea Resort - West Maui! Papakea is an oceanfront low-rise development with swimming pools, Jacuzzis, putting greens and tennis courts in a well kept and very attractive 13 acre setting. It is situated at Honokowai, 6 miles north of Lahaina and 2 1/2 miles north of Kaanapali.
Our particular unit is right at the oceanfront. It is located on the fourth floor and has an unobstructed and commanding view of the ocean and offshore islands. The unit has two levels - the main floor and a loft. There is a queen sized bed in the upstairs loft and both a queen sized bed and a twin sized bed in the bedroom on the main level. There are two bathrooms - one upstairs and one downstairs.
The unit has been remodeled and is extremely well appointed. The kitchen is completely equipped and ready for use. It features a conventional stove, a microwave oven, a dishwasher, blender, toaster, coffee maker, etc. The living / dining area adjacent to the kitchen has a large dining table and chairs, a flat panel color TV, a DVD player and a queen sized sofabed. Complementary high speed wireless Internet access is also provided. The condo is fully stocked with all linens (wash cloths, towels, sheets, pillow cases, beach towels, etc). There is an in-unit clothes washer and dryer. The unit has a three zone Air Conditioning system and ceiling fans to keep it cool inside. All the buildings at Papakea are four stories high and our condo is on the top floor. There are elevators for your use in each building.
There is an Ocean Activities Center (kayak rental, snorkeling equipment rental, etc.) and sandy swimming beach about 100 yards down the beach from our unit.
