Main Description
You will likely think you have gone to heaven as you sit on the deck of our guesthouse with the awesome view of the Animas Valley and surrounding mountains. This home is located within a 5 minute drive of the historical downtown area. If you enjoying walking, there is a path along the Animas River just down the street from this home that will take you downtown in 30-50 mins.

The home has an open living area with hardwood floors and is nicely furnished with your comfort in mind and all the conveniences of home. The kitchen has granite counter tops and is equipped with appliances and utensils for your culinary needs. There is a king size bed in the master bedroom and twin beds in,another room.

There is also a new sleeper sofa that converts to a queen size bed. You're welcome to bring an aero-bed should you have more than 6 people in your party. There are 2 full baths with all linens and lots of closet space throughout the home.

Durango Mountain Ski area is a short and beautiful 25 minute drive up the mountain. There is cross-country skiing, ice skating, snowmobiling and sleigh rides available close by. We normally have great skiing conditions and sunny weather without the long lines of some of the more famous ski areas.

Known for our 300 days of blue sky, the weather in the area is perfect not only for winter sports, but in the spring, summer and fall for hiking, biking, rock climbing, golf, horseback riding, river rafting and riding the historical Durango Silverton narrow gauge train. Fly fishing is great in the Animas River that runs through the town and valley, but there is also fishing in many lakes and other rivers close by. There are excellent restaurants and great shopping with wonderful art galleries in the city.

In 45-60 minutes, you can be at Mesa Verde, listed by the United Nations as a world cultural center. Here, you will find the largest Indian cliff dwellings in the world. Many who visit our area like to drive "the loop" which takes you over several mountain passes to Silverton, Quray and Telluride. We'll be happy to draw maps of different hikes, biking trails and jeep drives you might wish to take.

theatre performances at times throughout the year. There are several privately owned gym as well as
the recreation center listed earlier.

Nice deck overlooking the Animas River Valley with a gas grill. River walk is right down the rode from
this home. This is a beautiful 5 mile walking/biking path that runs along the river and through the
city. Recreation Center is a short 7 minute drive with a pool & exercise equipment/classes and
a mere $3.50 charge for the day.

Low Season Price : $200
High Season Price : $300 per Day

We will take credit cards but prefer checks.
At the time of booking, deposit is due for
half of entire amount of stay. Remainder is
due 30 days before arrival. No cancellations
within 30 days of arrival unless we are able
to fill the dates. All money is returned if
canceled 60 days prior to arriving.
