Main Description
The houseboat is on Issaquah Dock, called the Garden Dock thanks to the profusion of plants in front of each houseboat in this very special community at the northern edge of Sausalito. Like the others, this houseboat is essentially a house built on a floating platform. The decor is elegant and comfortable. The main deck has a living/dining room and a kitchen, with an additional dining area outside. All look out on Waldo Point Harbor. The kitchen is fully equipped with dish washer, microwave, large fridge, stove and oven. The lower deck has two bedrooms - a master with a king size bed and a guest room with a double bed. The bathroom with shower, tub and designer sink is between these decks. A half deck up from the kitchen is the study and then a few more steps brings one out on the open top deck, with lounge chairs and table. From here the view is panoramic - San Francisco Bay to the southeast, with the Bay Bridge in the distance, and Mount Tamalpais to the north.

Our location is superb for biking, hiking and kayaking. Bicycles can be rented within walking distance. Marin County is a bikers' paradise. Hiking trails abound, some as close as five minutes away. Kayaks can be rented nearby and stored on the houseboat. Paddling in the harbor and San Francisco Bay is superb.

Houseboat has two exterior decks - one with a second dining table (the other is inside), the second, a large area for sunning, reading, social occasions. Also, a study with DSL connection. Located within walking distance of restaurants, a good market and bicycle rental; brief driving distance to kayak rental. We have a floating dock to store kayaks or canoes during rental periods.

San Francisco is 10 - 15 minutes by car. There is also ferry service from Sausalito to San Francisco. Napa and Sonoma Valleys are about one hour drive as are Stinson and Muir Beaches. Muir Woods is 30 minutes.

Rates

Low Season Price : $1450
High Season Price : $1575 per Week


Rental is US $225 per night, $1575 per week in all months except January and February when the weekly rate is $1450. There is a $100 one time cleaning fee and a $500 security deposit. To minimize the time funds for the security deposit are out of rentors' accounts, we suggest that rentors bring a cashiers check and leave it with our representative on arrival; he returns it on departure. If this method is cumbersome, the owner is prepared to discuss alternatives.

Owner asks 50 percent deposit at time of booking and balance 30 days before arrival.

In the event of cancellation, owner will return all funds if he is able to book for the period in question. If he is able only to rent for a portion, the funds returned would be proportioned on a pro rata basis. If he is unable to book any of the days, there would be no refund.
