Because the unique peninsula is only 1 block wide, you are assured of being only steps away from the sand and the water. The beach and water surround the perimeter of the peninsula. You have boardwalk access lining the beach on all sides. Enjoy, biking, roller blading, jogging or just strolling along the miles of flat boardwalk or walk right on the beach.
The narrow Mission Beach peninsula is flat with the ocean on the west and flows down around the peninsula point and fills the bay on the east side. You are 100 steps to the ocean side and 5 steps to the beach on the bay front from your front door. You can escape the business of the ocean side and retreat to the quietness of the bay front. It is not uncommon to have the beach to yourself on the bay side. You will view sail boats, palm trees and see the lights reflecting on the water at night. Oh yes, you are right across from Sea World and can enjoy the nightly summer time fireworks from you patio. During the off season, they are on Saturday nights.
