The Beach house is surrounded by decks, and nestled on a bluff overlooking the ocean, with 180-degree panoramic views of sandy beaches and the Point Arena Lighthouse. Eight sliding glass doors, with views of the ocean and lighthouse, surround an open living, dining and kitchen area. Gated deck to protect pets and toddlers.
A unique circular hanging fireplace enhances this sun-drenched central area. You will find central heat, a generous supply of games and books, Satellite TV, VCR/DVD, electric piano, Free Computer Use with High Speed wireless internet access, deck furniture including picnic table and a charcoal grill.
The Beach House accommodates up to 7 guests, and features a master suite with skylight, Jaccuzzi tub, ocean views and adjacent office with single hideabed. Separate guest area has two bedrooms with full bath, and laundry area with large washer and dryer. The recently updated kitchen is fully equipped, and has expansive ocean views to make vacation meal prep more fun.
There is easy access to a long sandy walking beach, which is available by foot or car, with tide pools, climbing rocks and surf fishing. A short walk from the house leads to a small trout pond (catch and release only) with a picnic area.
A well-stocked general store is located 3 miles to the south in Manchester and there is a small store in Elk, 9 miles to the north. Elk also offers a pub and restaurants. The village of Mendocino is 25 miles to the north and Gualala (near Sea Ranch) is 25 miles to the south. Both towns feature fine dining, art galleries and more.
