Vacation Rental Description
This beautiful and fully-restored 100-year-old farmhouse, built by one of the original pioneers in the Wenatchee Valley, is situated on 20 private acres outside of Cashmere (about 15 minutes from Leavenworth). With about 3,500 sq. ft. over 3 full stories, the working farmhouse includes a huge stone, wood-burning fireplace, all new hardwood floors, new bathrooms and fixtures, beamed ceilings, antique furniture and period pieces throughout. There is a 10-ft.by 4 ft.dining room table that permanently seats up to 18 guests, handmade from the 100-year-wood made available during the restoration. The living room is considered a "Great Room" with stone fireplace, pictures windows, two conversation areas, a reading area, dining area, antiques, and a VCR/DVD television by the huge sectional family couch. The main floor is wheelchair accessible including one Queen sized bedroom with private bath.Five full bedrooms and a charming fully-screened sleeping porch sleeps 15 comfortably. The former attic was completely remodeled into a modern game room/party room and den complete with big screen TV for gaming and movies, mini-fridge, ping pong table, game tables, hide-a-bed, 2 large couches and 2 twin Pioneer beds. New carpet, vaulted ceilings and ceiling fan plus beautiful light is throughout. Great place for teens!
The real charm from this historical property is the land and surrounding vineyard, orchards, huge Black Walnut trees, flower gardens and pristine hills. These 20 acres adjoin forest service land for a peaceful setting with elk, deer, and other wild animals always close at hand. In Spring 2008 a one-acre vineyard was planted with Syrah, Merlot and Sangiovese grapes. Five egg-laying chickens were "adopted" in Spring 2009 for fresh eggs daily.
This is the perfect family getaway for a weekend or a week with Bavarian-themed Leavenworth so close, the Columbia River for boating, and quaint and quiet Cashmere with its parks, Pioneer Museum, Aplets & Cotlets store, wineries, bakeries, restaurants, bowling alley and huge antique market places.
The Wenatchee River is nearby for summer floating. Cashmere also has a beautiful community pool, tennis courts and public golf course. There's hiking, mountain or regular bike riding, and horse trails all available nearby. A Leavenworth Concierge Service can make arrangements for anything from local wine tours to horseback riding and river floating trips.
For winter enjoyment, the farm is about 25 minutes from Mission Ridge Ski area in S. Wenatchee or 40 minutes from Steven Pass. Snowmobiling, sledding, snowshoeing and cross country skiing can be done on our property.
Amenities include a deluxe BBQ with both gas and charcoal, lots of outdoor seating, parking for a dozen vehicles (including covered parking for a few), firewood, outdoor firepit, fully stocked kitchen including all the basics and condiments, small appliances (from crock pots to blenders, microwave, toaster oven, coffee makers, etc.) washer & dryer, ice maker, double oven (with a classic 1960's vintage farm stove).
Two friendly pets are welcome with a separate $25 deposit and $10/night charge. Please contact us for special arrangements. There is a two-night minimum and special arrangements can be made for banquet parties (like weddings) or large family reunion picnics.
Facilities
The double canister outdoor BBQ has both gas cooking on one side and charcoal on the other for gourmet enthusiasts. Outdoor firepit on back patio is perfect for late-night s'mores and story telling under the stars. Baby gate and high chair also available along with iron and ironing board, china, glass and cutlery for 24. Weekly cleaning service is available (not daily). Free telephone land line and long distance within US. Dial-up Internet is available at the house; cable is not in the area, but WiFi is at restaurants and coffee shops within 3 miles.
Activities
Both nearby Leavenworth and Wenatchee offer lots of activities including theaters, outdoor concerts, State parks and local beaches on the Columbia River for swimming or rafting. Bring your skiboat for more water activities. Many wineries are in the region. Cashmere is 45 minutes from world-famous Lake Chelan with it's Water Park and outdoor activities.
Leavenworth is known for it's Bavarian shops, food and outdoor music festivals. Cashmere has the Chelan County Fair (2nd week in Sept.) The region is reknown for it's white water rafting with many group tours available.

Base rental rates are for first 6 guests only. Additional guests are charged at $20/person/day. $100-125 cleaning fee is added. 10% WA State Sales Tax is added. Children 2 & under are free. Rents change seasonally - Sun-Thursday have weekday rates; Friday & Saturday have weekend rates. $250 refundable Damage Deposit is required at booking. 50% of rental is due 60 days ahead; other 50% is due 14-30 days depending on season. Cancellation policies apply. $25 non-refundable Pet deposit/pet, plus $10/day each pet. Self-cleanup required. Two-night minimum. There may be special minimum requirements for Holiday weeks or weekends such as Christmas, New Years, Thanksgiving, Fourth of July, etc. Rates subject to change without notice. Minimum age for renters is 25. Alcohol parties, Bachelor(ette), Fraternity & Sorority parties are NOT allowed. (Please advise if you are a 501-C3 non-profit group).
