Leavenworth is an authentic Bavarian theme town located in the middle of Washington State, USA, on the east slope of the Cascade Mountains. It sits at the confluence of the Icicle and Wenatchee Rivers and hosts numerous festivals throughout the year. These include Octoberfest, Salmon Days, Autumn Leaf, and Christmas Tree Lighting. In the summer months three theater groups are conducting outdoor musicals throughout the week. The Sound of Music plays every year, with other musicals rotating in and out. Presently, Pirates of Pennzance and Singing in the Rain are playing. In the warm weather months the town is replete with flowers, and in the winter snow and lights. Located nearby is a family-friendly ski hill which also has an extensive tubing operation for children. In the summer months rafting, hiking, and biking are popular. The nearby Alpine Lakes Wilderness offers many opportunities for glacier- and wildflower-viewing day hikes.  
 
Bavarian home is located within the Alpine Village Condominium Association, which is located on the west end of Leavenworth, adjacent to the eighteen-hole municipal golf course. The unit is Bavarian and winter themed, with antlers, antique skiis, snow shoes, and sleds throughout the condominium. The color scheme is grey, Bavarian blue, wood, and white. The unit is about a ten to fifteen minute walk to the downtown village, with one route being along the river, which is very colorful in autumn.  
 
There are numerous restaurants and boutiques in the village, with dozens of shops, and now at least a half-dozen wineries. In addition to German food, there are several Italian and one Asian restaurant. Bavarian home is children and pet friendly, with an outside deck and barbeque. The kitchen is complete and fully-equipped. I'm a "one pony show," so no credit cards are accepted - - checks only.

The tranquil master suite has a queen bed with attached master bath. The living room is furnished with a comfortable queen sleeper and has a cozy gas fireplace. Guestroom has a queen bed. The private lanai off the dining room provides a retreat for outdoor dining and barbecues, perfect for either a romantic getaway or a fun family vacation any time of year.
