A Blue Ridge Haven...Overlooking the headwaters of the Dan River and nestled in the heart of the Blue Ridge Mountains, this contemporary and charming authentic Appalachian style log cabin comfortably sleeps eight people. Made from hand-hewn Hemlock logs, the cabin is presented in a nature motif, well appointed and complete with creature comforts such as free high speed internet/broadband, cable TV, gas fireplace, a well-equipped kitchen, black walnut furniture and stone accents, etc., to welcome you for a day, a week, or longer! We've provided linens/sheets/towels, washer/dryer, microwave/refrigerator, cappuccino/espresso machine, music, movies, DVD/VHS player, dartboard, keyboards, etc., so you can relax and enjoy your getaway with good friends and company.  
 
With easy access off of Rt. 58 and the Blue Ridge Parkway along the Dan River, the cabin offers the perfect setting for a family outing or a get away for two. While privately situated away from other cabins, it is not isolated. On site, and within walking distance, enjoy Appalachia history including Chapel 'Casa de Paz', historic carousel, ice cream parlour (with swings for seats!), live bluegrass music, a grist mill, and more. Hike the valleys and hills and enjoy the spring fed ponds and tributaries. Within a few minutes from the cabin, you can also enjoy historic Mabry Mill, and other sites along the Blue Ridge Parkway. The cabin is a couple of minutes to all your shopping needs in the town of Meadows of Dan, and is also close to Stuart, Floyd, and Hillsville. After a day in the beautiful mountains, visit nearby wineries less than 5 miles from the cabin including Chateau Morrisette (www.thedogs.com) and Villa Appalacchia (www.villaappalaccia.com).
