Location: Mathews, Virginia, USA (centrally located on Virginia’s Middle Peninsula between Virginia Beach and Washington DC). Mathews is a great base for exploring tidewater Virginia --- history, attractions, nature.

Mathews County is a great place for "getting away" or as a base for exploring nearby Williamsburg, Yorktown, Jamestown and Newport News. Or, just relax --- sit on the 200 foot pier, enjoy the gorgeous views, crab, watch the activity on the water, or kayak from the cottage’s own beach.

This new cottage is located in the quaint village of Mobjack, at the mouth of the East River on Mobjack Bay and is surrounded by water. Enjoy the sunrises and wonderful afternoon breezes.

The cottage is 1800 square feet and features a first floor master bedroom with private bath. The gourmet kitchen is fully equipped and boasts views of water on three sides and is integral to the great room.

The second floor has two large bedrooms, one with a full-size bed, and one with twin beds. The second floor also has a quiet sitting area with wonderful views for your escape.

Come enjoy our cottage in peaceful Mathews county. Enjoy the water, nature, history, outdoor activities, nearby attractions, or just relax. You will leave rejuvenated!

50% of rental amount due at time of booking to hold reservation. 50% balance of the rental amount, plus 25% refundable security deposit due one month in advance of rental date. All monies, excluding 25% of the rental amount, are refundable if you cancel a month in advance of your scheduled arrival. If you cancel less than one month in advance of the rental date, the rental amount is non-refundable. Cash, cheque, money order, MasterCard, VISA accepted. 3 night minimum stay $700.
