Come and enjoy the warm ambiance and peaceful setting at Fountain Hall. This grand Colonial Revival dates back to 1859, originally built as a small country Victorian. Fountain Hall features six tastefully appointed guest rooms with private bath, three common rooms, and a delightful breakfast room. Seasonal flower gardens, mature trees and 100-year-old boxwoods adorn the property. Fountain Hall is centrally located between Washington, D.C., Richmond, VA, Charlottesville, VA and the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains and Skyline Drive. Butler's Suite
Butler's Suite is a large room with private outdoor patio at ground level, which leads to the backyard and gardens. The antique queen-size bed was handcrafted, circa 1800. The Victorian dresser is an original, also from the 1800's. The bathroom has a whirlpool tub (standard size) and shower. Simply fill the tub and soak your cares away!
Chelf Room
Chelf Room features an Acorn style queen-size bed, Empire dresser, a secretary and a comfortable reading chair. From this spacious second floor room, relax on the porch with a wonderful view of the grounds and an old dairy farm on the hill. The bathroom has a large whirlpool tub to soak your cares away!
Lightfoot & Hill
The Lightfoot & Hill room is the largest and sunniest room in the house. This spacious room is ideal for couples or small families. It features two beds (queen-size and twin), private bath with shower, reading chair, desk and dresser. Spacious, yet cozy!
Pulliam's Retreat
This delightful two-room suite has a wonderful view of the grounds and neighboring farm from its private porch. The antique queen-size bed is hand carved and made of solid walnut. The sitting room is a great place to read and relax or watch TV/DVD. Private bath with shower/tub combination
Thompson & Grinnan
Thompson & Grinnan room is the only room in the house that remained untouched during renovations in 1923. This room is fitted with a cozy king size bed. Additional features include comfortable reading chairs and in-room vanity with sink. The large private bath with a soaking tub and shower is only a few steps outside the room.
Victoria's Suite
Victoria's Suite has an antique Victorian queen-size bed made of solid walnut that dates back to the early 1800's. The spacious bedroom has an adjoining private sitting room with TV/DVD and a private bath with shower. Imported Oriental rugs grace the hardwood floors. The cozy sitting room faces west capturing the warm afternoon sun.
