Vacation Rental Description
This Vermont cabin rental is located on 4 wooded acres just one mile from Stowe village, and 8 miles from Mount Mansfield and skiing. Goldilocks is decorated with antiques, hand loomed rugs, and lush draperies: You will not want for creature comforts here. This Stowe cabin is rustic and charming, with antler chandeliers,wood stove and cuckoo clock, but also has all the modern conveniences (espresso machine, stainless steel appliances, Bose radio, high speed internet, place settings for six) so it is truly the best of both worlds. The cabin is 940 square feet with an open plan. The living room has a sleeper sofa, and a ladder which leads to the sleeping loft with full sized bed (a favorite of older children). The master suite has a sitting area, television, antique four poster bed with lush bedding, and comfy mattress. The bathroom has a shower (no tub). There are also two decks, a gas grill, and laundry.  
We love pets at Goldilocks, but we also have some very nice things, so all pets need to be approved by owner prior to renting.

    • Stowe has something to offer all seasons of the year. The skiing in Stowe is said to be the best in the East, and there are hundreds of miles of trails for cross country skiing and snow shoeing. When you are not skiing take a sleigh ride, go snow mobiling, or spend a day at the spa, or the health club. In the summer there are balloon rides, open air concerts, hiking,swimming, mountain biking, canoeing, kayaking, fishing, farmer's market. Antiquing is great around Stowe and there are many unique shops in the village. The foliage in the fall is spectacular and the days are warm and the nights crisp and cold. For a day trip try Montreal, Montpelier, or Burlington.

    50% deposit is required to hold the reservation, with the full amount due 60 days prior to arrival. Payment can be made via check or by Paypal, which takes bank transfers and credit cards. If you do need to cancel we will do everything in our power to rebook the cabin. If we do rebook the renatl amount will be refunded, less and 15% processing fee. If we do not rebook the cabin we will not be to refund the rental. We highly suggest on-line rental insurance. For a small fee you can protect yourself from unexpected trip cancellations. There is a full-refundable security deposit of $500 which is due 2 weeks prior to arrival, and is refunded when the cabin is cleaned and inspected.
