Your own private 76-acre farm just west of the Norman Rockwell homestead and nearby where Grandma Moses did her paintings of bucolic patchwork fields. We preserved the 1840s architecture/structure of the original farm house with exposed hand-honed beams, wide board pine and cherry flooring. Includes a fireplace in the living room and a sitting room w/views. This ia a somke-free, comfortable country home w/Queen Anne footed cherry furniture, oriental rugs & fine paintings and prints throughout including the 'gallery,' second stairway & hall to both lilac & azalea ensuites each w/private bath. The kitchen eating area has a fantastic view across the sweeping lawns across a large field of flowering alfalfa to the 1/2 acre pond with ducks, blue heron, geese, wild turkey and deer. The fully equipped kitchen with a glass top stove, double wall ovens & adjacent laundry room all have French country tile. Next to the kitchen is the sitting room with a beautiful large bay window overlooking the sweeping lawns, flowering alfalfa fields to the pond. The large screened-in porch off the kitchen has views to the pond and large round tables (2) with director chairs. Adjacent to the screened porch is a patio with a gas grill. The swimming pool room is a 'great room' with a 12 ft.x40 ft. heated lap pool with stair access and adjacent recessed jacuzzi spa, ceramic tile floor and base, cathedral ceilings, wall murals, exercise equipment and large tropical plants. The area is humidity controlled with a stall shower & drying area.
