Vacation Rental Description
Robin's Nest, Bed and Breakfast Inn, c. 1991, takes care of her guests from all over the world. We speak English, Spanish, Rusty French and Rusty Portuguese. We're in an inner city neighborhood called Montrose, also called the Museum and Arts District. About half a mile from downtown Houston and two miles from the Texas Medical Center. A good walking neighborhood, it was one of the first neighborhoods outside of downtown Houston and the houses are mixed with original and new construction.
Robin's Nest cmprises three historical homes setting side by side. The main house is an 1898 Victorian, once a dairy and vegetable farm outside of downtown Houston; the second is a 1920s Craftsman and the third is a 1938 two story southern Saltbox. They now sit a scant mile from City Hall and the skyscrapers of downtown Houston, the fourth largest city in the U.S. Montrose is one of the very few neighborhoods in Houston where one can exist blissfully without a car.
We serve a full, healthy, colorful: at least three colors on a plate, and white or brown don't count -- breakfast.
For our long term guests, we have four suites/apartments that are much loved, as per exiting reviews. They offer either one or two bedrooms, full kitchen, living/dining. Washer/dryer, hardwood floors, lots of windows. A yard, and company if you want it via the bed and breakfast. Or no company, if you don't. The houses are clean and absent most modern-day allergens.
Within two blocks in any direction, there are about five restaurants. It's a good walking neighborhood. We're a couple of blocks from the campus of University of St. Thomas which is spacious, green, and meditative. We're near grocery stores, pharmacies, etc. We are in a well kept inner city neighborhood.
Come stay with us in the heart of Houston. You are welcome. Well behaved pets and children are welcome too.
