The Hancock Guest Cottage is located in Hyde Park in central Austin, and it's the ideal base for exploring town. You can walk to the adjacent shopping center or down the block to regular bus service with easy access to places of interest. 
 
The Hancock Guest Cottage features two comfortable queen bedrooms with crisp cotton linens and en-suite bathrooms plus a Sun Room with futon sofa bed. The Sun Room overlooks a pleasant garden with native Texas plants, a pond, an aviary and a large deck with BBQ. 
 
The kitchen is beautifully equipped with all new stainless appliances. The Cottage has a 42" plasma flat-screen TV with digital cable, DVD player, and Wi-Fi wireless Internet. 
 
GOLF 
The Hancock Guest Cottage is across the street from the oldest golf 
course in Texas. The Hancock Golf Course is a 9 hole course created in 
1899. 
 
 
DOWNTOWN 
Visit the Capitol, 6th Street, Warehouse District, 2nd Street Design 
District, Convention Center, Long Center for Performing Arts, Whole 
Foods Headquarters Flagship Store, Town Lake Hike and Bike trail and 
river for kayaking, and watch millions of bats. 
 
UT CAMPUS 
The UT campus has the Harry Ransom Center, Bass Performing Arts 
Center, Blanton Museum of Art, President Lyndon B. Johnson's Library, 
the UT Erwin Center.
