It's a welcome counterpoint to the day's activities. Twilight approaches, and the softly romantic light from under the railing invites grilling and dining on the deck. The truly sharp eyed might even spy a troll in the woods just as dusk turns to darkness!

Romance in the air? Trollhaugen has hosted a number of weddings on the deck, with the woods and mountains as the backdrop, and it makes a wonderful honeymoon chalet. Or, perhaps you’re looking for a family vacation—then Trollhaugen’s child-friendly yard and 1.8 acres are especially inviting. Planning for a getaway with friends? Having a bedroom, bathroom, and sitting area on each level, Trollhaugen allows for the occasional sense of solitude and a chance to read or just relax.

For those persuaded that golf is something more than “a good walk spoiled,” Trollhaugen lies just 7 miles from the beautiful Gatlinburg Golf Course, 10 miles from Bent Creek Golf Course, 14 miles from Eagles Landing Golf Course, and 23 miles from River Islands Golf Course. If you prefer your walk without clubs, Trollhaugen sits just 8 miles from the nearest entrance to the Great Smoky Mountain National Park with extensive hiking trails.

With an enchanting open view of Mt. LeConte and the woods across a wonderfully landscaped large yard, Trollhaugen is a beautiful 3 bedroom, 3 bathroom, Heritage log cabin—clean and tastefully furnished. Situated on 1.8 acres of gorgeous Smoky Mountain seclusion and quiet, yet the Gatlinburg, Pigeon Forge, and Sevierville attractions are all easily reached from Trollhaugen.

The living area on the main level features a stone gas fireplace made of river rock, surrounded with a leather sofa, swivel chair, and hassock, arranged around a unique stone coffee table. The fully equipped kitchen also has an enclosed washer and dryer. The adjacent dining area has an expandable dining table with 8 chairs. Two wrought-iron dining tables with umbrellas, rocking chairs, and a gas grill sit on the wrap-around deck reached though a pair of garden doors on this level—providing a wonderful place to dine outside or just to enjoy the great view. The bedroom on this level has a queen bed, LCD HD TV, and a full bath.

The loft has a pleasant sitting area with a desk, leather swivel chair, and windows with great views in all four directions. The loft bedroom has a queen bed, full bath, and LCD HD TV, DVR, and DVD player.

The lower-level family room—with a pool table, LCD HD TV, DVR, VCR and DVD players, board games, and books—also contains an upholstered chair, ottoman, and queen sleeper sofa. The private hot tub, a wrought-iron bistro table, chairs, and a chaise lounge occupy the patio which is reached from the family room through a garden door. The bedroom on this floor features a king bed, TV with satellite, and full bath.

Each LCD TV in the cabin receives the 266-channel DirecTV HD Premier package which includes the Sports Pack, HBO, Showtime Unlimited, Starz Super Pack, Cinemax, and 65 satellite radio music channels. WiFi bgn Internet access throughout cabin and deck. Each bathroom provides a wall-mounted hair dryer, illuminated makeup mirror, and tub with personal shower and ARC shower rod. Each bedroom contains a phone and alarm clock AM/FM radio. The living and family rooms also have phones. An answering machine records incoming messages while you’re away from the cabin.

Reached by paved roads, Trollhaugen provides ample flat off-street parking, even for your visitors.

Deposit of one half the rental is due at the time of reservation. The balance is due two weeks prior to your arrival.

We accept VISA, Discover or Mastercard, as well as cashier checks.

If you cancel prior to two weeks of your arrival, you would receive a full refund less 10% cancellation fee. If you cancel within the two week period, we would let you apply your money to another stay within one year.
