Vacation Rental Description
On your next excursion to the Hiwassee and Ocoee Rivers, consider reserving a mountain home in beautiful Spring Creek Retreat, near Reliance, TN. Pamper yourself, family & friends with all the comforts of home, yet at a relaxed pace. This 20 acre paradise is cut off from the rest of the world by a fifty foot wide mountain creek, which surrounds the property, bordered by Cherokee National Forest. As a popular meeting place for families or refuge for corporate encounter sessions, Spring Creek Retreat offers solitude on 4000 feet of creek frontage only minutes away from the outside world.
Spring Creek Retreat is ready for guests who want both pristine mountain atmosphere & comfortable modern Accommodations. You simply bring the people and the food. We'll even arrange catering if you only want to bring the people. If you don't bring the people, you probably won't see any. You will, however, see many critters such as ducks, eagles, otter, mink, fish and deer.
You have a choice of houses, each completely furnished. The Ayuwasi House is best for larger groups who will enjoy the spacious screened porch. Ayuwasi is the Cherokee word for Hiwassee and this home is decorated to honor Native Americans. The Creek House is more intimate with it's high vaulted ceilings and octagon shaped living room.
THE AYUWASI HOUSE:
The Ayuwasi House sits at the foot of the ridge, close enough to hear the rapids on the creek. The decor in this house reflects its Cherokee name. A large, fully screened porch is equipped with rocking chairs, a Skittles game, and offers a scenic view of the meadow with huge trees and wild flowers. You're sure to see birds and perhaps even deer. A sun deck wraps around the side of the house giving a view of the volleyball court and bonfire pit.
Upstairs there are two large bedrooms and one large bathroom with cathedral ceilings. The Woods Room has three beds and can sleep up to four. The Maple Room has five beds and can sleep up to seven people.
On the main floor is the master bedroom with full private bath and laundry room. This bedroom has a king bed and sleeps two. All bedrooms have a rocking chair or a deacon's bench to relax and read a book.
Another full bathroom is on the main floor. Nothing has been spared to make each room unique. Even our bathrooms have themes, such as the Apple Bath on the main floor.
The fully equipped kitchen boasts all the modern conveniences including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove, and refrigerator with ice maker. A separate dining room is a great place to eat or play games. The Great Room contains a seating area for television or conversation and a day bed that sleeps two.
The entrance room contains games to delight all ages, and informative brochures about the area. The exterior is gray cedar.
THE CREEK HOUSE:
This home is nestled on the banks of the creek (which our guests call a river because of its size) with the deck over the water. It has two bedrooms: a master bedroom which sleeps two in a queen sized bed with a bay window overlooking the creek and a lovely bedroom with french doors opening onto a deck by the creek and a wood burning glass-doored stove. This room has four beds and can sleep five.
The living room has a large stone fireplace and three sliding glass doors that open onto the deck which overhangs the creek. The sofa makes into a very comfortable queen size bed. Direct-TV is provided along with a DVD & video player and several family videos.
The large, fully equipped kitchen is surrounded by windows and French doors. The kitchen boasts all the modern conveniences including a microwave, coffee maker, toaster, stove and refrigerator with ice maker.
The home has two full bathrooms and a library alcove. All of the walls and ceilings are painted tongue-and-groove pine, and the ceilings are exposed beam cathedral. The floors are polished hard wood. The exterior is gray cedar.
