Vacation Rental Description
"I don't want to leave" is the comment we hear from our guests! This fully furnished and equipped log cabin is NOT in Gatlinburg or Pigeon Forge. It is for guests who prefer the peace and quiet of Mother Nature to the crowds and traffic of a more popular tourist area.

There is a handicapped accessible bedroom and roll-in shower on the first floor and 2 king bedrooms with a shared shower, but individual commodes on the second floor. From these bedrooms you'll feel like you are sleeping in a tree house! All bedrooms are equipped with comfortable mattresses so at the end of a busy day, you'll be asleep in minutes.

The hot tub under the stars is on a wrap around deck which contains large dogs and small children. Only the deer and turkey will know you are home. And when you are ready to take a hike, there are some short and some long hikes right off the deck. Your dogs are welcome to be off leash while you are on the trails - except when going around the Inn at the top of the mountain.

Although you feel like you are millions of miles away, within 45 minutes of the Chalet are hundreds of things to do for the entire family. Take a hike on the Appalachian Trail; bike the Virginia Creeper Trail; attend a great performance at Barter Theatre or Heritage Hall; participate in the Scottish Games at Grandfather Mountain; swim, fish and sail on beautiful Watauga Lake; play a round of golf at Red Tail Mountain Golf Resort where the ball flies forever; browse antique and craft shops; make jewelry; or just read a book while the wind plays a song in the trees.

    Reservation is held with a credit card until a check for 50% is received within 10 days of making the reservation. The balance is due no later than 21 days prior to arrival. A full refund minus a cancellation fee of $50.00 is given if the cancellation is made 21 days prior to arrival. No refunds are given if cancellations are made less than 21 days prior to arrival unless the unit can be rerented. Then a refund is given for those days the unit is rerented minus a cancellation fee of $50.00. Payment is accepted with PayPal, Visa, Mastercard and by check with credit card on file.
