In this lovely log cabin with hot tub, Jacuzzi, wireless Internet, and nice view you will “catch” your dream vacation here in the mountains. This luxury Southland Log Home constructed with 8” pine logs is located on the front side of Beech Mountain, majestically sitting several hundred feet above downtown Banner Elk and enjoying panoramic views. A beautiful maze of slate garden path decorated with over a hundred different flowering plants leads you onto the front covered porch which stretches the length of the house. One can enjoy a cup of coffee while peacefully sitting on the swinging bench looking up at Beech Mountain.
Upon entering, there are coat hooks and a coat closet, a half bath and the stairs to the second floor. As you move into the great room you can not help but notice the soaring ceiling and the 25 foot stone fireplace where crackling wood burns cheerily.
All wood floors and TV/DVD/VCR and stereo compliment the comfortable oversized great room which also has a high top game table and a desk for reading or work. Plenty of light fills the room in early morning yet there is privacy in the evening where you can sit on the rear deck and grill some steaks and enjoy the outdoors. There is also a 3 person hot tub off the master bedroom, which has sliding doors to go outside. The rear deck spans the length of the house like the front porch and has three access points.
The gourmet kitchen is the favorite place for many who have stayed with us to enjoy either cooking or simply eating delicious food with wonderful company. There is A large pantry, washer/dryer, pull out spice racks, a full size convection oven, microwave and an island gas cooktop with a downdraft. A large side by side refrigerator with auto ice/water will allow you to keep all the necessary items you require for your culinary delights. If you make a mess there is dishwasher and sink disposal to help you clean up. There is a coffee machine, toaster and a toaster oven in the midst of spacious granite counters which will make it easy for you to organize each meal for your stay. The dining area is located near the kitchen in the open great room.
The master bedroom is downstairs with a comfortable king size bed, TV, and a super sized walk in closet. Inside the master suite is a private bath, two sinks, Jacuzzi tub for two, and a walk in shower.
Upstairs are two extra large bedrooms and a bathroom with a balcony overlooking the great room below. The kids bedroom has a full bed and a tented twin with a trundle. A secret reading nook and TV/DVD plus a lot of space to play make this room one the kids will always remember. The other bedroom is similar in size, has a reading nook, TV/DVD, a queen bed and a twin. Both bedrooms have very large closets and ceiling fans.
On the lower level is the game room with a pool table, ping pong table, darts and many games to enjoy. There is a TV with DVD player, with a comfortable queen sleep sofa and a full bathroom with a great shower. A large two car garage comes in handy when unloading, or on a rainy day.
This home is conveniently located in between both Beech and Sugar Ski Slopes: It is approximately 4 miles to each one.
