Island is 12 miles long and 2 miles wide so everything is pretty close. We do not have much traffic, so getting around on the Island is easy. We have a beautiful and interesting historic down town, Fort Clinch State Park, horseback riding, bike riding everywhere, boating (with special sunset cruises on a real pirate ship), skate park, two putt-putt golf courses, many world class golf courses, beautiful beaches and lots of natural wildlife.
Approximately 25 miles North of Jacksonville Airport (take I95 North to Amelia Island/Fernandina Beach exit. Follow across bridge to Island. Take right at first light (Amelia Island Parkway). Stay on Amelia Island Parkway all the way to condo. You will pass the Ritz Carlton on left, then Ocean Park, then the Surf & Racquet.
