Within it's beautifully-finished exterior resides an open floor plan that features great room, gourmet kitchen with state-of-the-art appliances, large dining area with seating for 14 and a marble-topped bar with six more place settings. The giant picture windows, which span the living room from wall to wall and floor to ceiling, allow for breath taking views and warm ocean breezes. A soft, comfortable light fills this Hilton Head Oceanfront, South Carolina home.
Sleep comes easily in one of five lavish suites, each furnished with comfortable beds dressed in fine linens, en-suite bathroom and Southern Living-style décor. Four of the suites feature King beds and three boast private oceanfront terraces and sitting areas. The fifth suite features a gorgeous 4 poster Queen bed and the sixth bedroom has 2 twin beds. All the bedrooms invite you to stay and rest a while and enjoy their seductive comfort.

Facilities
The bedrooms at Yellowdog are tastefully decorated so that each has a distinct personality. There are wonderful bed spreads with matching and mismatched pillow cases, beautiful art on the walls, TVs, DVDs or VCRs or both, telephones and bedside clock CDs or radios. Antique armoires, hand painted chests, overstuffed armchairs and chandeliers add to their individuality. The one outstanding feature, which is common to all the bedrooms is that the beds are the most comfortable you ever imagined. After staying at the Wentworth Mansion in Charleston, we were so impressed by the beds that Rosie inquired about their mattresses. She now only buys her mattresses from their supplier. 1st floor King Master suite is spacious, elegant and comfortable. There is a gorgeous hand painted armoire that houses the 33' TV, VCR and DVD player. Although nexto the living room extra insulation in the walls ensure that excess sound is blocked for your comfort.

North Forest Beach is without doubt the best beach community on Hilton Head Island. North Forest Beach is the only beach community on Hilton Head where you can walk or ride a bike, in a minute or two, from your front door to an understated beach Plaza where you can buy the morning paper, grab a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop, choose a delicious pastry from a tiny bakery and begin your day without even remembering that you own a car.
Oceanfront homes in North Forest Beach are right on the beach, close enough to throw a ball from the deck to the dunes. In most other beach communities on Hilton Head there can be over 150 yards between the house and the beach. In addition all manner of trees, shrubs and other vegetation may be blocking the view and the breezes which you have paid so much to enjoy.

- Travel Info: "Yellowdog by the Sea", is located right ON the beach on Hilton Head Island, in a beach community known as "North Forest Beach". The central hub of Forest Beach is Coligny Plaza, a collection of a wide variety of stores and restaurants, just steps from the beach. "Yellowdog" is a 3 minute walk from the tiny bakery at Coligny. Coligny Plaza is often referred to as Hilton Head's downtown and is the main gathering area of folks getting ready to head to the beach. The stores at Coligny Plaza are geared for beach vacations and for beach living. From kite stores, to face painting and a variety of stores selling beach clothes, sunscreen and sunglasses the Plaza is a great last stop before heading to the 12 miles of white sandy beach. If you are planning to try your hand at fishing from the beach make sure to stock up gear and the latest "tips" from the friendly folks at Grayco hardware. Make sure to say "Hi" to the boss "Jake", a great big white lab, with the best attitude ever. At the end of the day, enjoy a cold one at "The Frosty Frog" or at "Murphy's Irish Pub" before heading to dinner at one of the many fine restaurants waiting to take care of you, your family and your friends. Then, stroll home to "Yellowdog" and continue enjoying your evening through the night before settling into the most comfy bed ever so that you can wake tomorrow to the sounds of the waves and the calls of the sea gulls, right outside your bedroom doors.

Full refund of all monies paid at the date of cancellation, without deduction provided the week can be rebooked at the same rate. If the replacement booking is for less than your rate, then the amount of the replacement booking will be the amount of the rebate. We will do everything possible to rebook at your rate, or better.

Owners Profile
Living the dream in the South Carolina Low Country, on Hilton Head Island.
We came to Hilton Head Island, SC in 1994 on an extended vacation from the Toronto world of advertising and commercial TV and Film production.
Despite our intention to return to Toronto we fell in love with the island and decided to stay.
By 1996 we found ourselves involved in buying and renovation properties. By 1998 we had our Realtor licenses and we were renovation our 1st rental property, close to the beach.
Since 1998, Rosie has been focusing on design and rebuilding, while Andre, with RE/MAX Island Realty, became a top Realtor on HHI.
One thing led to another and in January 2000 we bought and began renovating/rebuilding "Yellowdog by the Sea" right ON the beach. The house began as a 3 bed 2 bath cottage and the result can be seen in the photos here.
After "Yellowdog by the Sea" we have added "Halcyon Days", an 8 bed 8.5 bath home, which we built in 2003/2004.
Every year we make sure that our homes get better and better as we learn from our guests what they think will improve their vacations, even a touch.
Our goal is to make our guests experience better than they expected, from the quality and condition of the house to the customer service that we provide. Because we live less than 5 minutes away we respond to our guests needs at once. We encourage our guests to stay in touch, share their vacation photos and experiences and to plan their next vacation well in advance.
We love what we are doing, living the dream on Hilton Head Island, SC.
