We rented this townhouse from April 30 - May 7, 2011 and couldn't have been happier! The vacation was 70th birthday present for my mother and we were truly thrilled with these accomodations and Barefoot Resort as a whole.
The pictures truly do not do the property justice. From the moment we walked in the front door we felt "at home and cozy". It was wonderful to sit out on the enclosed patio each and every morning with our coffee and newspaper, enjoying the view and peace and quiet, occasionally glancing up to watch the family of ducks, few Canada geese and of course the 4 beautiful swans. This was the life!
Upon arriving, we located the binder supplied by Suzanne with all the information we needed on the property itself, tourist attractions, restaurants and shopping. It was so very helpful to "newbies" to Myrtle Beach. It really came in handy! In fact, we were in need of new tires for a vehicle and thanks to Suzanne...the binder even had a contact for this! We saved ourselves over $500 by using this referral (compared to having them installed in Canada)! THANKS SUZANNE!
I am an extremely picky person when it comes to "mattress comfort"...but had absolutely no issue here! We had some of our best nights sleep ever!
The kitchen had everything we needed, pots and pans, cutlery, dishes, glasses, coffee maker, kettle and dishwasher. The only thing we needed supply was our food, which was easy to find with the help of Suzanne's binder...it let us know exactly where to shop. The local Bi-Lo was tremendous!
There is a pool located just across the street from the townhome, which we visited 2-3 times (we would have more, but there was much shopping and golfing and eating to be done!). It was very clean and quiet. Never an issue with crowds.
The Resort itself is gorgeous! Everyone is so very friendly. You will never pass another car or someone walking throughout the resort without a friendly wave and hello! It is located centrally to just about everything! Just a few minutes drive to the beach and barefoot landing.
If you are a golfer...there is a never ending supply of "golf specials" in the local newspaper when you arrive. "Martin's Golf Superstore" is a must located just a few minutes outside the resort as well.
Suzanne Duval was a god-send, even communicating with us via email and telephone during our stay to make sure all was well. From our initial conversation we felt "taken care of"!
WE WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK!!!

We stayed at the unit mid October 2010 and had a great time in the community. Plenty of area to take comfortable walks. You can even walk over to the driving range.
The unit was in exquisite shape, plenty of room, as there were just the two of us we only ventured up stairs for a look around and each of the bedrooms was in immaculate condition. Each room had its own TV so lots of room to escape to. The master bedroom on the ground floor was beautiful and spacious. So was the en suite.
On the ground floor everything was very neat tidy and comfortable, the owner provides a very in-depth binder with everything you will ever need to know about the complex and the surrounding area attractions and restaurants.
The unit is well equipped with excellent quality utensil, kitchen equipment, bedding and towels, no need to take extra stuff.
We found the complex and location of the unit to be very quiet and peaceful, the back screened-in porch is an excellent place to enjoy a glass of wine and a good book. The ducks weren’t too friendly, I couldn’t get them to come over for treats.
The back porch also has a BBQ which was just like new and clean, even started with the push button start.
We enjoyed eating in so much that we rarely went out for meals.
The only negative comment about our experience was the can opener, wasn’t very good, unless it is replaced that is the only extra thing I would bring on our next visit.
We rate the unit as 5 star, we will be booking this unit again for sure.

Superb in all of the following: cleanliness, location, convenient to Highway #17 and #31, and of course, the beach! We were there from July 24th to 31st, it was very quiet, the pool that is available for owners and their guests is gorgeous, not crowded, and super clean. We highly recommend this rental, and we look forward to renting again next year, as we could not even imagine a better place.
Thank you for having a look at our properties! My job is to make your vacation as pleasurable as possible
