Remodeled during the off-season, this Summerwind Cottage boasts a new kitchen with granite counters, a luxurious master bath with tiled walk-in shower, high-speed Wi-Fi connectivity, bicycles, beach equipment, and more! Careful attention to detail along with comfortable, upscale furnishings provide a comfortable home in which you can truly kick back, relax, and enjoy your get-away.

You are sure to love the comfortably appointed screen porch for relaxation or dining. The adjoining deck includes a Weber gas grill for your cooking enjoyment. The living space features comfortable seating for six with a wall-mounted flat panel TV, stereo, and DVD player. The kitchen is fully stocked with everything you would have at home, including condiments & spices. It also features a new open floor plan with an eat-at peninsula, professional quality cookware, a gas range, new cabinets, granite counters and a tiled backsplash.

In each bedroom you will find a TV, extra pillows and blankets, and plenty of space to store your things. The master bedroom has a queen bed & is tucked on one side of the villa with a private bath & screen porch access. On the other side of the living spaces are a second bedroom with queen, a full bath, and a third bedroom with two twin beds & two twin roll-out trundles. The home accommodates 6 adults or 4 adults and 4 children comfortably.

The ground-level shower is perfect for washing away sand. We frequently leave towels and a change of clothes in the shower area prior to heading out to the beach. In the adjacent storage areas we have an extra refrigerator, coolers, 5 bicycles, a beach wagon, boogie boards, skim boards, beach chairs, bocce ball and beach toys. Everything you need to enjoy carefree days at the beach awaits you!

Seabrook Island is a private gated community located 23 miles from historic Charleston, SC. With ancient live oaks, towering palms, and abundant wildlife, the island is a beautiful retreat for vacationing. The lack of commercial development and hotels keeps the island quiet and pristine. Still, there is plenty to do. The beach is wide, clean, & three miles long. Dolphin frolick in the waters just off-shore. Deer are plentiful on the island and frequently spotted while walking or driving around. Biking, roller blading, running, and beach walking are popular activities as well. The slow pace of traffic on the island makes the roads safe for everyone (wildlife included!).

The Seabrook Island club has just completed a complete renovation featuring a beautiful new beach club with two swimming pools and an oceanside bar and restaurant (open seasonally). The golf club is located within the Island House, a beautiful new facility across the street from the beach club featuring many outdoor seating areas, a lounge, restaurant, and meeting space. There are also tennis and equestrian facilties. During the summer organized activities are offered, and live entertainment occurs several nights of the week. AMENITY CARDS FOR ACCESS TO THE CLUB ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR RENTAL RATE!

Just off the island you will find numerous restaurants ranging from pizza and burgers to fine dining. At Freshfields Village, located just outside the Seabrook Island gate, is a full-service grocery, specialty shops, beach/surf shops, and a pharmacy. Also nearby are a wonderful produce stand with locally grown vegetables & freshly caught seafood, a marina with boat rentals and tours, and additional shops.

No trip to Seabrook would be complete without a day of sight-seeing in Charleston. This historic city boasts beautiful antebellum homes, wonderful dining, numerous sightseeing tours, antique shops, and golf courses. We have assembled a guidebook with information about area attractions, including driving directions. You might wish to peruse the book while relaxing on the porch with a refreshing drink!

Summerwind Cottages are located near the beach club area between the second holes of Seabrook's two golf courses. It is a shaded, quiet area of the island great for bicycling. Of the five bicycles, four are adult size; the other is 24". We also have a large wagon for toting your beach supplies to the oceanfront, many boogie boards and beach chairs, sand toys, bocce ball, skim boards, and coolers. All bed linens and bath towels are included. Please bring your own beach towels. We supply a starter pack of basic paper products, but you will need to bring additional supplies(or purchase upon arrival). We have a few Play Station 2 video games, some DVD and VCR movies, and a large selection of books and board games. On street parking is not allowed; our driveway will accomodate up to three vehicles. The pools are located at the Beach Club, which is an easy fifteen minute walk from the home. It can also be accessed via bike or car.

Seabrook's location is ideal. Because it lacks commercial development, it is a serene beautiful island. However, all the conveniences of such development are easily accessible. Freshfields Village and Bohicket Marina are just outside the island gates. Each of them offer dining and shopping. The grocery, specialty stores, and restuarants are at Freshfields. Bohicket offers boat rentals, fishing expeditions, sunset dolphin cruises, restaurants and more. The adjacent island of Kiawah has a luxury spa and additional restaurants. A short thirty minute drive will take you to the heart of historic Charleston. Within this beautiful antebellum city are activities to suit nearly any interest: antiquing, shopping, dining, cooking classes, more golf, home tours, history tours, boat tours, the Patriots' Point naval museum, baseball and soccer games, and more. Your vacation at Seabrook can be as relaxing or as action-packed as you choose!

A deposit of one-third of the total is due within fourteen days of booking a reservation. The balance is due thirty days prior to arrival. Personal check, certified check, or credit cards accepted for payment. A fee of $30 will be charged for all returned checks. A thirty day notice is required for cancellations. The departure cleaning fee of $100 is included for stays of 4 or more nights. All 2 or 3 night stays will be charged for cleaning. SC taxes (10.5%) will be added to your total rental and cleaning cost. Long term rental available in off-season; please inquire if interested.
