Make sure your rental is close to the beach - if they don't say how close it is to the beach you better ask! Parking near the beach is not convenient on Kiawah!

Overview. This beach house overlooks Canvas Back Lake and is about 350 yards to the beach (400 steps to Beach Access #30 and 500 steps to Beach Access #29). Everything you need for an incredible vacation is provided for you at our wonderful home located in Vanderhorst Plantation at 170 Surfsong Road. The perfect location to savor any season on Kiawah Island. Inside and outside our beach house is a tranquil retreat that will complete your Kiawah vacation. Great home for two families.

Floor Plan. The generous floor plan features comfortable living spaces and strongly emphasizes privacy and serenity - 3200 square feet for your enjoyment. Hardwood floors throughout (Ceramic Tile in Kitchen). This is a spacious, sun-filled beach house.

Linens and towels are provided. Ceiling fans.

FIRST FLOOR

Kitchen - Bright and sunny describes the well equipped kitchen (oven, range, large refrigerator with ice maker, microwave, dishwasher, two disposals, new chocolate Granite eating bar/island seats 6, New White (linen) corian countertops, pots & pans, dishware and cooking utensils) where you can easily and efficiently prepare great meals while the whole family helps.

A laundry closet, half bath and eat-in area are conveniently located directly off the kitchen.

Great Room - As you enter the front door, you walk into the great room which is the perfect gathering room with comfortable seating.

Library/TV Room. There is a separate library/TV room on the first floor.

First Floor Bedrooms. All three of the first floor bedrooms have full bathrooms (one bathroom has a Jacuzzi/Shower tub). Two of the bedrooms have king-sized beds. The third bedroom has two twin beds with two trundles - a great kids room.

SECOND FLOOR

The second floor of the beach house features two bedrooms in addition to an open space for lounging, playing games or watching TV with a walkout to a separate deck overlooking Canvas Back Lake. This is a great area for a second family to have their own privacy or to get away.

Second Floor Bedrooms. There is one bedroom with a king-sized bed and one bedroom with a day bed that pulls out to two twins and a full bathroom with shower and jacuzzi.

Wireless Internet allows vacationers to "Escape to Kiawah" while staying in touch. 170 Surfsong Road is the ultimate relaxing getaway.

Improvements for the 2008 season include daily maid service now available, new oak staircase, two new Air Conditioning Systems with UV lights and Electronic Air Cleaners for the best possible air, Second shower head in the outside Shower, New shower in Master, added ceiling fans, new exhaust fans and painted ceilings in 1st floor bathrooms, New linen colored corian counter tops in Kitchen and new chocolate granite island, painted 2nd floor walls and ceilings, etc., etc., etc. Improvements for 2007 included new furnishings, great new beds/mattresses, painted entire interior, refinished the 1st floor hardwood and made other improvements. We require a $3,000 damage deposit (along with the remaining rent) within 3 weeks of the rental which you can easily put on a credit card and makes it very easy for us to return (no 3% convenience fee applies to the damage deposit and returned (credited to your credit card) after the house is inspected within 3 weeks of the end of your stay). We have had the house rented for two years and have not had to charge anyone for any damage, i.e., we have returned 100% of the damage deposits. Although the $3,000 may seem steep, we feel that our renters have taken great care of our home because of this damage deposit. All funds must be cleared funds before we will send you keys. Visa/MC/Paypal/Amex/Discover $3000 damage deposit 1/2 rental and 11.25% tax due upon reservation Remainder due within 3 weeks of rental. One time fee of $200 applies to rentals less than 1 week for cleaning.
