Located In Charleston's most exclusive historic residential neighborhood, The CABELL HOUSE is a private home,just steps from the Battery Park (White Point Gardens) and High Battery. The house has 4 BED AND BREAKFAST rooms available for reservations year round. THE FULL HOUSE MAY BE BOOKED IN ITS ENTIRETY when no B&B rooms are occupied or booked. Contact the owner to determine availability & rates. The more advanced the booking, the more likely the entire house will be available.
Three of the bedrooms have 4-poster mahogany beds. One has a mahogany sleigh bed. The house and bedrooms are fully furnished with family antiques, and oriental rugs. Each bedroom has its own private bath and is appointed with a small digital flat-screen cable TV, a Keurig single-serve coffeemaker (also serves breakfast teas, chai tea, cocoa, cappuccino etc... ) Georgian mantles are in 3 bedrooms and throughout the house.
The downstairs includes a well appointed living room, dining room with a large Sheraton mahogany table that seats 8-12, an 18 bottle wine chiller and coffee station. Also downstairs, a full kitchen with modern appliances, microwave/grill combo oven, dishwasher and eat-in booth. A dark wood-paneled den/library off of the kitchen is furnished with a large work desk, leather sofa and easy chair, a desktop computer (available for your use) cable television and DVD/VHS player. WiFi is accessible throughout the house.
The piazza (porch) downstairs is fully furnished for year-round sitting with ceiling fan, settee, rockers, and side tables, ideal for early morning coffee or a relaxing glass of wine in the evening.
The market area with restaurants, shops, art galleries and nightlife are all within easy walking distance. All downtown historic historic homes open daily for tours are within 1 to 3 blocks. Beaches (Isle of Palms, Sullivan’s Island, Folly Beach) are 20 to 30 minutes away.
