The morning sun beckons from across the river, the rising red orb in the orange horizon ricocheting its rays across the deep blue waters into your very soul, inviting you to throw off the covers and come join the day! 
 
Located on the Susquehanna's Lake Clarke, this vacation home offers amenities many want but few get to experience. One need never leave to enjoy the constantly changing panoramas, the setting sun providing yet another spectacular light show as its orange glow intermingles with the red lights of Safe Harbor Dam 4 miles downriver. And just when you think it can't get any better, the moon begins her dance over the waters. 
 
Central to Lancaster's Amish Country, Hershey's Park and Chocolate Factory, Hollywood Casino, Gettysburg's Battle-fields and nearby Catoctin Mountin Game Preserve, Baltimore's Zoo and Inner Harbor and its Aquarium, and York's Harley-Davidson factory, one can go day-tripping in a different direction each day. A short walk upriver and the friendly folks at Shank's Mare offer kayak rentals (and lessons), an array of upscale "outfittings" and ice cream! (Or bring your own boat and cruise on this deep water section of the river - situated 2 doors from the Lock 2 Boat Launch.)
