New Lower rates for 2009 !!!Our split level cottage with 60 FT Cascading Waterfall Right By Deck(!!) is a delightful place nestled among tall trees and rhododendrons where we like to make memories, as well as escape for rejuvenation. Sitting on the large, cathedral ceiling screen porch while listening to the birds or to a passing thunderstorm is a wonderful experience. We have a large supply of good novels to read and multiple comfortable places to enjoy them, incuding a big swing down by the waterfall.. We are happy to share our numerable spices in the kitchen cabinet with you. You can fill the bird feeder off the deck and watch the birds. We are a nonsmoking property due to allergies ! Thanks for understanding !!! We are 12 minutes east of Brevard and 20 minutes west of Hendersonville off Hwy 64 in the small community of Penrose. We have many more good pictures we can send you, if you email us !! We are located on Shuford Mountain by a pastoral valley in between Brevard and Hendersonville, NC. Dayspring is a Streamside cottage on gently sloping side of mountain among rhododendrons and tall trees. There is a swing by the stream to sit and let the cool air and lovely sounds of the waterfall cool and soothe you. Play in the cool waters, if you wish. NON SMOKING and NO PETS Please !!

MBR King size BED with wonderful mattresses. Wonderful sleeping! Pretty decor ..like a romantic getaway/perfect honeymoon suite in itself as one can enjoy the lovely, upscale room and open the French doors leading out onto the deck overlooking the waterfall. The outdoor beauty comes right in the room as one gazes out onto the lush rhododendron covered mountainside and one hears the melodious sounds of the waterfall. Romantic ! Tranquility ! Delightful ! 2nd Br has 2 DBL beds. Beautiful Granite countertops in Bathrooms & Kitchen.Our well appointed furnishings will make your stay very comfortable and help you drink in the tranquility of this serene, romantic mountain setting ! Soak in the peace and coolness sitting in the swing by the waterfall! OR enjoy a spot on the porch or deck reading one of the many novels available.Games and jigsaw puzzles are available for your enjoyment! Well behaved children are most welcome.

Come enjoy this pastoral setting of beautiful mountains surrounding you. Get away from the touristy busy areas.Spend some time where things are quieter and you can truly relax...If you want to be a go-goer there is plenty to do w/in 10-15 min.. concerts,hiking,thrift store shopping,boutique shopping, driving on the Blue Ridge Parkay and eating at the yummy Pisgah Inn on top on the Parkway with its magnificent view.Dupont State Forest, Pisgah National Forest, and Gorges State Park with their hiking trails and waterfalls galore! Sliding Rock. (for loads of fun sliding down a long, natural river rock!!). Blue Ridge Parkway. 'Mountain' music as well as classical music festivals. Apple festival. NC State Theater at Flat Rock, NC. Biltmore House. Holmes Educational Forest. Cascade Lake Recreational area. Brevard is home to the unique white squirrels. Come see and Enjoy !!!! We, the owners John and Margaret, consider our mountain cottage Dayspring to be our own getaway home . We do rent it out, but foremeostly we enjoy it ourselves. We looked for 2 years on and off till we found this getaway.We live an hour south of the cottage so we can get up often. Margaret is a homemaker having homeschooled and raised 4 children, plus had numerous foster children over the years. John is an engineer with a German company working in research and development of car parts. We know have grandchildren who enjoy our cottage and gentle waterfall. You will find the house is not a bland house, but has personal touches in the decor and amenities on site. We hope others will find Daypsring a home away from home as we do...Come enjoy and find out for yourselves !!!

What a wonderful experience!!!
My wife and I spent a week here, and very much enjoyed the still and quiet atmosphere.
The porch and decks are a huge PLUS!!! A wonderful place to enjoy a quiet time reading, or talking while swing on the porch swing, or to have a meal while overlooking a small yet graceful waterfall.
So close to many outdoor activities, and the small mountain town of Brevard with its unique shops and wonderful restaurants.
It is on are list of things to do again... :)
