WELCOME TO PARADISE !! Look no further-Sunset Beach is the closest to paradise you will ever get! Sunset Beach is located between Wilmington, NC and Myrtle Beach, SC, just north of the infamous Grand Strand and only minutes away from the most beautiful sandy beaches of the East Coast. Our brand new (built in 2006) impeccably-furnished first floor condo is located in Colony II at Oyster Bay Golf Links. This peaceful condominium complex is located just across the street from the Intercoastal waterway and ocean beyond. The Colony II offers fitness center, indoor & outdoor swimming pools and hot tub.
Our vacation home is fully furnished and equipped. Enjoy the comfort of your stay with central air conditioning and ceiling fans throughout. Our condo offers bright, open rooms with high ceilings. The bedrooms are carpeted and the bathrooms, entry hall and kitchen have ceramic tile. The master bedroom has a king size bed, a 19 inch TV, a large walk-in closet and spacious bathroom with double sinks and a full shower with seat.
The second bedroom has a queen size bed, the third bedroom has two twin size beds and a 20 inch TV. The second bathroom with shower and tub is located in the entry way by these two bedrooms. A washer and dryer, hairdryers, iron and ironing board are provided. The sofa in the living room also converts to a queen size bed to accommodate a maximum of eight people.
The living area has two double French doors leading to the veranda, a 32 inch TV, DVD/VCR, games, and books. The kitchen is inviting and opens to the great room separated by a bar and two bar stools. It is well stocked with cooking utensils, serving dishes, silverware and glassware. Some of the appliances include the cook top range, over stove microwave, dishwasher, refrigerator with ice maker, coffeemaker, and a toaster.
It takes you 2-3 minutes to drive along the waterway and over the old-fashioned swing bridge to the beach island of Sunset Beach (if you are lucky, you may be able to watch the bridge up as big boat passing through). Once there, you can enjoy sunning, swimming, shelling, fishing, and beautiful sunsets. There is public parking (one free) at the pier and a shower for rinsing off.
Ocean Isle Beach is also about ten miles away. At Ocean Isle Beach you can enjoy dining overlooking either the waterway or the ocean. There are multiple beach access points (including at least two handicap ramps) with parking, Coastal Museum, a waterslide, miniature golf and it is a great place to ride bikes. The famed seafood capital Calabash is only a 5-minute drive.
Myrtle Beach is just 10 miles beyond there. There is every water sport you can think of in Myrtle Beach, from snorkling to jet skis. There is really fun miniature golf for kids, The Strand for walking, dinning, and shopping. The Hard Rock Cafe, Arcades, Imax Theaters, Clubs (big spring break area), House of Blues, Broadway on the Beach, an Aquarium, Nascar Cafe and go cart racing, and Dinner Theaters (The Alabama and Dolly Parton etc), and much more.
In addition picturesque golf courses of Oyster Bay, there are more than twenty others nearby including The Thistle, Sandpiper Bay, The Pearl, Sea Trails, Lion's Paw, Tiger's Eye, Panther's Run, Crow Creek, Brunswick Plantation, Meadowlands and many more.
If you decide to eat in, there are two groceries conveniently located nearby and one has an extensive deli. There is even a boat launch into the Intracoastal Waterway (ICW) just a few hundred feet from the complex.
