Vacation Rental Description
Seagypsy is a huge oceanfront mansion in the beautiful northern beaches of the Outer Banks of North Carolina. The unspoiled beaches in this unique wildlife preserve are also home to the famous wild horses of the Currituck Outer Banks who have survived nearly 500 years of fierce Nor'easters and hurricanes. They are truly representative of the Outer Banks spirit - untamed and rugged - and are an integral part of what draws hundreds of thousands of visitors to the Northern beaches every year. Seagypsy has 1400 square feet of ocean-side decking and every bit of it directly overlooks the ocean. You are literally 75 feet from the beach.
Seagypsy has 8 master bedrooms and 11 bathrooms, a gourmet kitchen, dining seating for 20 and over 5050 square feet of living space. Let incredible ocean views mesmerize you by day and incredible star filled skies inspire you by night.
We run a Friday to Friday week in order to save you wasted hours in the weekend traffic. The entire island (400,000+) turns over on Sat & Sun and is funneled into 2 roads. You'll coast in on Friday, do your shopping and be hanging around the pool while the other 400,000 are stuck in traffic.
No mansion would be complete without an elevator making every floor wheelchair accessible. Exercise in your private pool, relax in your hot tub over-looking the beach, or enjoy the first floor theater and game room with wet bar & full kitchenette.
Our wild horse herd helps make Seagypsy one of the most unique properties on the Eastern Seaboard. Away from the hustle and bustle of the in-town resort areas our Northern Beaches offer a more peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. We are rated the Best Undiscovered Beach on the East Coast. Genuine oceanfront living treats you to wild mustangs grazing in your own yard, star-lit walks along the beaches, sleeping to the rhythm of the surf, and exploring the sights and sounds in a serene and relaxing environment.
Seagypsy is only steps from the Atlantic Ocean. Unobstructed ocean views for miles in every direction places the very best the Outer Banks has to offer at your feet. Our home is located only 6.5 miles north of Corolla in the four-wheel-drive territory but is less than 18 minutes from a grocery store and shopping complex offering unlimited shopping, restaurants, bars, golf and a movie theater.
A 4WD vehicle is necessary to get to and from SeaGypsy. In the 4WD area there are no paved roads and you drive right on the beach - and the houses are not built on top of each other like in the paved areas. This is one of the reasons this area is so popular.
Amenities include elevator, swimming pool & hot tub, gourmet kitchen, theater & game room, Wii games and so much more. But most of all your stay with us will help you forget all the stresses of work and allow you to once again learn how to play and have fun.

Facilities
There are eight master bedroom suites - each with a private bathroom and flat screen TV. The views from Seagypsy are unbelievable! Every room, every deck, every window offers glorious views of the ocean, the beach and nature. Fully stocked gourmet kitchen with a dining area that comfortably seats 20 people. Free linens and bath towels for our guests who stay for a full week or longer. We provide beach umbrellas, coolers and boogie boards for our guests. We also have two BBQ grills, beach chairs, badminton, horseshoes, children beach toys, and volleyball equipment. Two huge flat screen TVs - one is 65" in the theater room and one is 52" in the top floor living room. Play cards or billiards in the recreation room. Complete Wii system with four controllers, Wii fit, Rock Band, and much more. Enjoy long walks on the beach in the day and breathtaking stars at night.
Activities
A short 20 minute drive from Seagypsy you will find great dining, shopping, and movie theaters. For the golf enthusiast there are a number of courses in the area.
Rent fishing equipment and fish directly in front of the house.
Seagypsy is about two hours drive from the Norfolk International Airport. You can rent a 4WD vehicle there or from a number of places.

The wild horses are truely amazing. You will see them nearly every day. Some days they will come right up to the house and even under the house. You will also see the dolphins frolic in the surf every day and you will even see giant sea turtles on occasion.

Reservations are accepted by emailing hugh.perry@hotmail.com Upon booking a reservation, a Vacation Rental Agreement (VRA) will be mailed to you. As soon as you return the signed VRA along with a 50% deposit your reservation will be officially booked and those dates will no longer appear as available on our vacation rental listing sites. The remaining 50% as well as the refundable Security Deposit will be due 30 days prior to check in. Check-in time is 4:00 P.M. on the day your reservation begins. Please schedule your arrival accordingly. Checkout time is 10:00 A.M.! Please respect the next guests by leaving on time.

Visiting the Seagypsy was the first time my family has visited the Outer Banks and we were really pleased - no more like WOWed by this rental. It was just awesome. It is great for a family vacation with something for everyone regardless of age. The teens had a blast with the Wii system and games, movies, and pool table. There were large wide screen televisions where the whole family could view movies together. If you wanted a little solitude, you could go to your room where each had its own flat screen television. The kitchen was state of the art and well stocked! The decks provided spectacular views of the beach, sunsets, and sunrises. After a day at the beach, there is the pool and hot tub to cool off and relax. We saw horses everyday! The kids are already asking if they can come back next year! We truly enjoyed this vacation home.

What an amazing place. First trip to OBX for most of our party and we got it right the first time. The house has everything you would want in a vacation home and more. All rooms are generous size so everyone was happy. Great place for adults and kids. There is nothing better than waking up to horses on the beach. We plan to make this an

Three words describe this place....PERFECT PERFECT PERFECT! The views were absolutely amazing! Amenities in the home were quite unique with a beach rental. Gourmet kitchen, flat panel TVs in every bedroom, pool table, internet, private pool, hot tub...I could go on and on! Absolutely amazing views and location! Quite nice to be able to hop over a few feet to the almost private beach then skip back and take a dip in your own private pool! Saw the horses almost daily, even had one walk right up to me so I could pet it. Staying at this home is as close to feeling like a Rock Star as you could ever get! This house felt more like a home rather than a rental! Definitely a must stay!

For thirty years my family (12-14 people, ranging in age from 8-70) has vacationed in the Outer Banks. During that time, we have stayed in vacation homes from Corolla to Nags Head, and as one might expect, we have had the
pleasure of experiencing some good rental properties, while unfortunately experiencing some not so good (or to put it bluntly, bad). Then we found the Sea Gypsy (or did she find us?). After all the years of vacationing, as a
group we almost always felt that something was missing with the other properties, whether it be location, size, amenities (something for everyone,regardless of age) and value for dollar; not so with the Sea Gypsy, it has it all. The house is a vacation resort to top all others, with wonderful views of the ocean, wild horses roaming the beach, tranquil setting, swimming pool,hot tub, game room with the latest game systems and games (Wii, Rock Band,etc), and the widest selection of DVDs we have seen; perfect for unwinding after a long, arduous day at the beach. One of our highlights is to sit on the deck and listen to the ocean, while enjoying the beauty of a starlit sky. It is located far enough away from the Duck area to avoid the day-to-day hustle and bustle, but close enough to enjoy the unique shops and restaurants the area has to offer. I highly recommend the Sea Gypsy to anyone who wants a vacation that allows you to just kick back and enjoy yourself. It's all here; pack your flip-flops and a swimming suit or two, leave everything else behind. Enjoy....we did....and will again...very soon!!

All we can say is most OBX beach rentals are pretty generic, but not this one! Of couse, the ocean views are fantastic. There are few things we enjoyed more than sitting on the upper deck with a cup of coffee watching the sun rise over the ocean. That's usually when the wild horses came by. It was great to see them playing on the beach and there were numerous hoof prints around the house everyday we were there. Some came by with such frequency we started naming them. The views "inside" are pretty amazing too! The furniture, carvings and artwork are all very impressive and even with the expansiveness of the house it still had a cozy feel. I have to admit that some of the pictures in the game/theater room leave more questions than answers though. As for the gourmet kitchen, it's a cooks dream. It had everything and anything we needed and the openness to the dining and great room made this space ideal for folks to gather when not enjoying the beach or the pool. Luckily, we only had 1 bad weather day, but with the wide DVD selection and, of course, the Wii games and pool table we stayed quite entertained. In closing, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and have to say the SeaGypsy is the most unique beach house we've ever had the pleasure of staying at and we've been vacationing throughout the Outer Banks since 1998. The owners even left us a gift bag with lots of useful and thoughtful items. I'm using the Seagypsy mousepad writing this review.

Our vacation at Sea Gypsy was very special, and we look forward to our next visit with anticipation. As a New Englander used to the cold sea even in the heart of the summer months and to small rustic summer cottages clustered on top of each other along the ocean front in NH and ME, Sea Gypsy was a world apart. The ride along the beach was just lovely and the sand dunes as we approached the house were picturesque. The amenities are everything we expected and more with beautiful and unique furnishings, spacious rooms, compelling views, more than sufficient entertainment options inside and out and plenty of places to gather with our friends to relax and visit or retire for solitude. The kitchen was especially well stocked enhancing the social elements of our vacation. To add to the novelty of our visit, the wild horses did indeed appear on the property! For a true get away, you can't beat Sea Gypsy.
