In cottage next to the main house are the Austria and Italy fully equipped two rooms suites with kitchenettes. Nearby log cabins are also fully equipped and offer extra privacy: the Blue Bird Cabin, and the larger cabin with Elderweiss suite upstairs (also known as our honeymoon suite) and the Chickadee studio downstairs. Our newest additions are the Vienna & Munich Studios. The cottage, studios and the cabins have porches, decks, balconies or patios.

Guests in the main house enjoying the bed and breakfast amenities including our deluxe breakfast in the main dining room. Additional Guests (more than two Guests) in the Cottage, Suites, Studios & Log Cabin can purchase breakfast at an additional charge. For a complete vacation package, the cabins also can be rented for an extended stay at a lower rate.

Gaestehaus Salzburg Bed and Breakfast and Restaurant is located in Hickory Nut Gorge, one of the most beautiful canyons in the Eastern United States. The Gorge is about 14 miles long, and extends from the small villages of Gerton through Bat Cave and Chimney Rock to Lake Lure. The rushing Rocky Broad River flows through the Gorge and empties into the crystal waters of the lake.

Just a short drive away are two championship 18-hole golf courses as well as the 9-hole Lake Lure municipal golf course. Nearby are the scenic attractions of Chimney Rock Park and Lake Lure Tours, Marina and Beach.

Also in the Gorge are horseback riding, rafting, biking, shopping in quaint shops, good restaurants, and enjoying the lake activities.

Asheville, the Biltmore Estate and the Blue Ridge Parkway are about a 45 minute drive from Gaestehaus Salzburg. Hendersonville, with shopping, movies and the Flat Rock Playhouse, is about 35-40 minutes away.

For a guaranteed reservation we require a valid Visa or Master Card or personal Check. Guests are responsible for payment of all nights reserved regardless of late arrival or early departure.
CANCELLATION POLICY: We require a minimum of 14 days notice of cancellation or you will be charged for your entire reservation. Reservations for Holidays or Holiday Weekends can not be cancelled (no exceptions). "NO SHOW" will be charged for entire reservation booked. Administration charge of 15% will be made on all cancellations.
Check in time is 3:00 - 8:00p.m, unless other arrangements have been made. Check out time is 11:00 a.m. There is an additional charge on all late check-outs.
Smoking is permitted outdoors only. Gift Certificates are "pre-payments" and must be used before the expiration date. Gift Certificates are not refundable & some restrictions may apply.
