Vacation Rental Description
Pear Tree Cottage is our dog friendly cabin in the beautiful Blue Ridge Mountains of North Carolina located between Boone and Blowing Rock, it has central air conditioing and heating.
When we are not using it as our "get-away" from Charlotte, we would be delighted for you to enjoy it.
It has two bedrooms and two bathrooms and there is a queen areobed for two extra people.
There are TV's in each room as well as VCR/DVD and CD player. There are games (darts,jigsaw puzzles, cribbage), books, video tapes, DVDs and CDs for your enjoyment.
The kitchen is fully equipped and there is a washer and dryer in the laundry closet.
Although the cottage is set in the countryside, you will find excellant restaurants and shopping very close by. The towns of Boone and Blowing Rock are only 10 minutes in either direction.

Flat Top Manor, built by the extrordinay philanthropist, Moses H. Cone. (Do look him up on the internet before you go to see it).It houses the craft shop operated by the Southern Highland Handicraft Guild, there is no admission fee.
Within walking distance is the Yonahlossee Saddle Club where they offer short term livery.
You and the children can also enjoy gem mining, the Tweetsie railraod and go-karts
There is a stable behind the famous Mast General Store in Valle Cruse where you can take a trail ride through the countryside.
