Hiking and ATV trails on site as well as picnic areas, creeks, two trout ponds, children's jungle gym, mountain waterfalls, scenic creeks and tranquil ponds. 
 
 
 
Location: Newland NC, just 15 minutes from Banner Elk NC. Less than 30 minutes to major ski slopes and 45 minutes to the towns of Boone NC and Blowing Rock NC. 50 miles from Johnson City TN. You will not only never hear cars driving by, you may not be able to see a neighboring home on any of the nearby mountain chains while hiking this 500 acre compound! 
 
 
 
FIELD CABIN has great year-round views of the nearby North Carolina Mountains and a huge field out from of the home that will never be developed. You can often hear a neighboring creek run year-round from your front porch or either of your open decks. Surrounded by 50 acres of forest and field and nice North Carolina foliage, FIELD CABIN is as private a cabin as you will find in the High Country. 4x4 is required during winter months. 
 
 
 
FIELD CABIN has three full bedrooms and three full bathrooms, one on each floor. There is also a small desk with mountain views to get a little work done or to just complete those holiday postcards during your visit. The living spaces are open and airy with an open log staircase hand-carved and running from the 1st to the 3rd floor. Snuggle up next to your old-fashioned wood-burning cast iron stove in the warm and cozy living room with a book or a glass of wine. The kitchen includes a bar, dishwasher, disposal, microwave, gas stove and oven and nice dining space for the family. This NC log cabin rental will have all the modern conveniences of home, but in a new construction log cabin with 16 to 18 inch Scandinavian cut logs and a natural stone foundation, epitomizing the ambience of Carolina Mountain living!
